Radcliffe and Maconie or Steve (Great Show) Wright? The easiest listing choice made. Is it not time the BBC put Wright out of his misery (not to mention the poor sops who don't have access to DAB) and move him onto the early morning shift?

biggrin - I'd add Desert Island Discs (either play the songs or just talk, doing both serves neither well!), but I don't expect to like EVERYTHING.

That said, perhaps I should, I've NEVER heard anything on Radio 2 I liked...

I love Radcliffe and Maconie but I've never found a car that DAB works properly on. Even my current M135i lets me listen to 5 or 10 seconds of content before giving me 20 seconds of no sound. I've tried a few cars and the same happens. I prefer my own music at home and radio in the car so don't have DAB in the house. Shame.

You know you can take it into the garage and they'll fix it, right? I have no issues with the DAB in any of the 3 cars we have.

Not always :-)

Depends on your location to the transmitter site. How many buildings are in the way, are you in a valley? DAb just isn't as robust as FM.

Given that choice, your right it is the easiest listening choice made........ I think I'll play a CD

Radcliffe and Maconie = Crap
Steve Wright = Crap (but not quite as crap as Radcliffe etc)

If you a struggling for DAB reception you could always use the BBC Radio player and download the file to your phone, and then play in the car.

6 Music is almost always my choice, I have it on in the background most of the time when I'm at home. Shaun Keaveny in the morning is much preferable to Evans and Grimshaw, both of whom I can't stand and there's just generally lots of interesting music played on most of the shows. The only thing I I can think of which I regularly listen to on Radio 2 is Trevor Nelson's Soul Show, which is good.

Radio 6 all the way for me. I used to listen to Radio 2 but the shows and music are universally dreadful. I found the Shaun Keaveny breakfast show by accident and I thought he sounds like how I feel in the mornings so I gave it a go.

With radio 1 catering for the teenage audience now,I'm surprised that radio 2 hasn't had a mass cull to appeal to the growing 6 music /Absolute audience.
I mostly listen to 6 and the BBC radio app let's me catch up to with stuff like the Guy Garvey /Giles Peterson/Iggy Pop programs when I'm out with the dogs.
With the added bonus of 'radmac',it's a fantastic channel.

I'm with you. I work on the basis that I have to do some sort of selection to get the bits that suit me best. Which funnily enough, seem to match what you like.
