The BBC confirms that TV detection evidence has never been presented for scrutiny in open court. They are no doubt fearful about the effectiveness of their detection equipment being challenged in public.
Oh I do know that. But men in vans with eyes do exist.

ETA - "men with eyes", not "vans with eyes", obviously.

My mum hasn't had a TV for a decade or so, she does however watch the odd documentary on catch up but you are talking on average an hour of TV per week.

My Strict Baptist uncle's family has been without a TV for decades; religious thing, funny thing was when he came round; which wasn't often thankfully, he would sit transfixed to our TV if it was on.

I lived (very happily) without a television between 1982-87 and between 1992-2004.

It was no hardship.

But today I would significantly miss a lot of documentaries, especially science ones, music and some classic stuff. Films and crime dramas too.

Mostly I watch iPlayer - but it's all the same thing now!
