Now Melisandre is headed South, we know Ayra is at the Twins this prophecy should come to fruition early next season:

Wasn't Mel on Ayra's list? It's been that long I can't remember...

does the vale have that much of an army-ie 45,000 as quoted??
what are the numbers compared to dorne/tyrell?
We know it's been quoted in show, and we know the Tyrell's have the second largest army - but we don't know their size.

But isn't the Lord of Light and The Many Faced just different aspects of the same (Mono)theism; like Catholicism and Protestantism. It is The Seven that completely different (Poly)theism like Hinduism vs Abrahamics.

Can't be many still on her list, Cersci, Jamie, the Mountain and the Hound, we know most (all?) of the rest are actually dead now.

Do the sizes of the armies actually matter in the sense of them having any bearing on a completely fictional tale?

Surely the best narrative device will be victorious (see last week for details)? It's pretty obvious that the blonde dragon bird sailing into town, setting up shop and that's that, would be a pretty st narrative to wrap it all up so I think it's clear that it won't run smoothly for her, even if she or the dopey northern lad eventually win or not.

Tits n dragons hehe

Book kill list:
Ser Amory Lorch - For killing Yoren.
Queen Cersei Lannister - For her father, for Lady, and for everyone in the Stark household who were killed.
Chiswyck - For capturing them, for thinking that Polliver taking her Needle was funny.
Dunsen - For capturing them, for taking Gendry's bull's horn helmet
Ser Gregor Clegane - For capturing them, for being the main reason they were tortured
Ser Ilyn Payne - For chopping off her father's head
King Joffrey Baratheon - For her father, for Lady, and for everyone in the Stark household who were killed.
Ser Meryn Trant - For killing Syrio Forel
Polliver - For capturing them, for taking Needle from her
Raff the Sweetling - For capturing them, for killing Lommy Greenhands
Sandor Clegane (as The Hound) - For Mycah, and later on for the way he treats her in the Riverlands, for not going to rescue her brother or her mother at the Twins
The Tickler - For the torture of all the captives
Weese - For mistreating her in Harrenhal

TV Kill List
Joffrey Baratheon - Dead former king and all around asshat.
Cersei Lannister - Mother of Joffrey and overall manipulative bh.
Walder Frey - Betrayer of Robb and orchestrated the murder of Robb & Catelyn.
Meryn Trant - Member of the Kingsguard whom Arya blames for the death of Syrio Forel
Tywin Lannister - Head of house Lannister, father of Cersei and Jaime.
Mellisandre (the Red Woman) - Stannis' influential cohort, wanted to kill Gendry for blood magic.
Beric Dondarrion - Leader of the Brotherhood Without Banners, sold Gendry out to Mellisandre.
Thoros of Myr - Member of the Brotherhood Without Banners, sold Gendry out to Mellisandre.
Ilyn Payne - Executioner ("King's Justice") who beheaded Ned Stark.
Gregor Clegane (The Mountain) - Knight who works for house Lannister.
Sandor Clegane (The Hound) - Former servant of house Lannister.

So from the TV list, left to date;
Cersei Lannister - Mother of Joffrey and overall manipulative bh.
Gregor Clegane (The Mountain) - Knight who works for house Lannister.
Sandor Clegane (The Hound) - Former servant of house Lannister.

I thought that the last time I heard Arya repeat the list she left the Hound off it. Whether this is because she thinks he is dead or because she doesn't want to kill him any more I couldn't say.

In the book, hugely important, Martin is a major history buff, in the show...less so.
Dothraki are meant to be awesome in battle, but would be utterly useless in a siege environment.

Jaqen told her she was finally NoOne and didn't seem too bothered when she told him to GTF, so I reckon that was him giving her approved status. She could already use the faces as an initiate so I reckon it's not so much a technical hurdle as an authorisation one.

Unless she becomes blind for the next two seasons. hehe

I know the books are not the show. But I adhere to Preston's theory on the faceless men in the books.

Agreed. For that reason the books bored the arse off me!

Fortunately the show seems to be more focused on drama than plausibility...

She was reading out her list one night and he interrupted her, she replied and the Hound said something like "go on, finish your list" and she did without mentioning his name. He is no longer on the list. She would have killed him when she had the chance if he was.

She finished it with his name, it was hilarious and one of the best moments of S4. biggrin

Was it a later moment then, because I do recall her missing his name off.

If we go with the theory that death is rebirth that Martin seems to like is it possible the Hound is off the list now for that? He was as good as dead

The Hound is off Arya's list now, anyway. She said as such in one of the recent episodes.

Can I ask who Preston is?

I assume some sort of online reviewer, but he's mentioned a fair bit and I can't get enough analysis at the moment!

He has a YouTube channel so search there. His videos are pretty good and looks at the books and the TV show filling gaps etc.
