Great, I liked the first film.

Standard American trailer warning - don't watch it if you don't want the Reader's Digest version of the entire plot.

Looks good, enjoyed the first one too. You just have to forget the book character.

Fabulous. Really loved the first one. Hope he continues to plough through a few more of the books.

Indeed.

Though, if this follows the plot of the book much (and the first one did fairly well), it seems an odd choice as it's essentially part 2 of a story...

ETA Ah, the trailer explains how they covered that biggrin

I know he is not actually built like Reacher should be, but the first one was a decent effort and i reckon this one will be too.

I always think I don't like Tom Cruise but he has made some good films. The first one was good and this looks really good too

Massive fan of the books, thought Cruise was wrong but I really enjoyed it. I will be excited to see this.

Have to agree, thought Cruise was wrong for the part and still do, but the first was a good effort.

He's a good actor at least and does action stuff very well. One saving grace.

A big fan of the books, reading number 17 at the moment, think this one is 18 or 19?

Cruise was a complete miscast for me but I enjoyed the first film for what it was.

The books used to be great , now getting a it lackluster.

Books are always better than films though.

I've read almost all the books too. The first Reacher film is based on One Shot, which is the first book I read funnily enough.

Never read the books, doesn't look likely either, and I normally don't enjoy Tom Cruise films.

This helps explain why, that and he is always safe

Having said that, I really enjoyed the Reacher film, best Cruise film for me a long time.

Nope

Cruise is still not Jack Reacher.

The original film would have been good had they not tried to pretend he was Reacher

I think the thing is that, at least for those who had previously read some or all of the books, the film was fine despite Cruise, however it would have been better if the title role had been cast with an actor of greater physical stature.

Names that spring to mind, Vince Vaughan, Billy Campbell, John Corbett, many other suggestions are possible. It should be someone significantly over 6 foot though.

Vince Vaughan and that bloke from My Big Fat Greek Wedding????
You realise the Lee Child books aren't comedies right?
