It seems to be going from unnecessary soft porn scenes to quite extreme stuff. Do makers think this makes programmes better or do more people watch? In Billions some of the stuff they cover is ... I'm no prude but watching 'normal' TV slowly being filled with adult content makes me wonder....
Get used to it.
I remember reading an article which said the golden ticket would effectively be a big budget show with actual 'porn' sex in it.
It's just a matter of time.
I can't say it's something I look forward to as it seems to be a way of gaining attention as opposed to trusting or relying on the quality of the writing.

I wouldn't recommend it, it was a bad idea on the old CRT's but with a modern LCD finding your balance is damned tricky.
Impressive if you can though...Sometimes sex is relevant to a story, but more often (as in GOT) it's just titillation.
I only watched one series of GOT as, partial to a nice looking woman in the buff as I am, it got boring after a while.

Quite - most people have sex (your parents, the Queen etc.).
Most people don't kill people but that's fine to be shown.
But watching your parents have sex isn't fun. Most people don't kill people but that's fine to be shown.
Where as watching a gunfight between the Yakuza and the Italian Mafia, with both sides equipped with hand grenades and automatic weapons, filmed at 200fps, is amazing.
No-one wants to see your Mum at 200fps.

Certainly not mine I am by no means a prude, having watched all kinds of interesting, shall we say, stuff. Having said that I cannot believe the violence, albeit mostly CGI, that gets passed at PG/15 that would certainly been an 18 a few years ago.
Sex on screen will always be there, real or not, just watch the very boring Nymphomania crap by Lars Von Trier, but I personally find it pretty uncomfortable, must be getting old!

I'm not so worried about sex/porn - its a perfectly natural thing that humans do. Its the violence I find too much: films that are rated PG these days, show graphic gun fights, explosions, death etc - even 25 years ago, this sort of thing would be rated 18.
Having a crap is a perfectly normal natural thing that people do but I certainly don't want to see it happen.Frimley111R said:

But it's pivotal in the character development of th attorney general. He's as straight as a die at work, beyond reproach. His misses pisses on him at home whilst wearing a leather basque. Assuming they make another series it'll obviously be part of his unravelling.
You wouldn't watch it with your mum.
Try Spartacus, that's proper violence and sex.... "place cock in arse, I wish to finish".... Says the roman dude to the slave bloke while he's banging a lass on a table in the middle of an orgy.
