Chris Evans "stepped down" from Top Gear..........who now
Discussion
imagine this is why: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/07/04/metropo...
Not to make merry of his "failure" cant imagine him being happy right now, but its for the best!
I say, Harris, Leblanc and Reid, throw in occasional Eddy for fun, job jobbed.
And maybe replace the stig with Sabine, the whole tame racing driver bit has gotten a bit boring/chewed out, just have one of the normal cast do the tests.

"I gave it my best shot" it says in his tweet. I disagree, it felt like he just stepped in to Clarksons shoes and carried on with Top Gear the way it was. Continuing with the old format everyone was getting bored with anyway.
I don't know how much control he had over the program so perhaps it's unfair to criticise him too much, but he didn't give Top Gear the shake up it needed. This series of Top Gear will be remembered just as much as the first series. It will be the one everyone forgets about and the BBC sweep it under the carpet and pretend it never happened.

Not sure they need to replace him, Harris and Le Blanc could handle it themselves. But if they must replace Evans then rather than trying to have another figurehead; I think it'd be better recruiting another 'equal' who shares the presenting with the same level of involvement as the others.
Couple of options that I think would work:
- Jason Potato: he was watchable on Fifth Gear and seems to have a bit of chat/banter about him as well as being pretty handy behind the wheel too.
- Jenson Button: same reasons as above minus the 'Fifth Gear' bit.
- Me: same reasons as above, minus the 'Fifth Gear' and 'pretty handy behind the wheel' bits.
Cheers,
Grant
