Series all about the development of the steam engine and its effect on society.
Off to a reasonably good start apart from some batty woman getting hysterical about pots and pans and cooking.

I thought it was pretty good as well, though some of the "off-topic" stuff like the pans thing was quite interesting, as was the way the slate miners supported themselves by wrapping the piece of chain they'd climbed up around the top of their thigh. Not sure I fancy that.

Going by the plethora of posts here I guess it didn't appeal to many. Tbh I didn't think it was brilliant and was poorly hosted.

Just goes to show we're all different, I thought the opposite, really interesting and more than just train spotters. Having historians present the bigger picture gave a great understanding of how big an impact the railways had on Britain.
