Absolutely brilliant - funny and moving in places. Ended up watching the whole series in one sitting.
Same here. Hope there's a second series.
+1 refreshingly original and very very good

it was all based on a semi autobiographical stage-play if I remember, so it finished like the play.

Just caught up on this after a few recommendations from here, have to say it was one of the best things I have watched this year.

It was funny, tragic, smart, intriguing and really quite unique.

Finally watched he final now.
Beautiful.

I heard her agent talk on Saturday, and it started off as a ten minute monologue, written because she was fed up not getting parts. Went to the fringe, got interest, and the series blossomed from that, along with another one she wrote. She's very talented.

I was very pleasantly surprised by it.

I had a nagging feeling that I recognised her from somewhere. It took me a couple of episodes to make the connection - she was the junior barrister in the second series of Broadchurch.

..and also the visiting drug councilor in an episode of Bad Education (not much love for Jack Whitehall on PH though so I doubt many watched that!)

Whilst I'd love to see a second series I sort of hope they don't do one. It was such a beautifully funny bittersweet 6 eps it would be a shame to stretch the story or do "The further adventures of..." and almost devalue the first series. I hope she, the cast and writers win loads of awards.

Started watching it. Strong start but the episode set in the health spa was very weak so stopped watching. Does it get better again?

The end of of that episode was quite good I recall. Yes - does get better again, although I actually thought it finished at the end of episode 5..

Agreed. It would be a shame to spoil the odd arc of this story - it should stand alone.

Really enjoyed it. Laugh out loud funny, but also rather affecting in places.

If she has more to write, then she'll write it. It's not a show that'll get made just to satisfy suits.

Second series is up. Saw it by accident last night and thought it was brilliant, as did the wife.
Will be bingeing the first series.

Loved the first episode last night too. Straight in with a bang, no doubts over whether she should have ended it after S1.

The little asides make it for me, but the stand out line has to be Andrew Scott's "...... irony" comments (no spoilers).

Assume I'm not alone in finding PWB smoking either?
