Realised I'd somehow never seen White Christmas so I watched that tonight. I figured out what was going on shortly before the reveal but it didn't matter too much, awesome bit of telly.
The 1000 year per minute punishment at the end is just utterly horrific. Unimaginable really.
A few flicks of the dial and they walk out. Very clever and very bad.The 1000 year per minute punishment at the end is just utterly horrific. Unimaginable really.
Quite anxiety inducing just thinking about it!
I watched and enjoyed "Demon 79" last night. I got half way through "Beyond the Sea" and gave up as it seemed very slow and I thought I could see where it was headed. Having just read some of the previous comment though I may have been wrong so I'll probably stick the other half on at some stage.

Black Mirror should probably be brought to an end.
Just finished the latest series, enjoyed it all in all with even the weakest two still being quality tv.
Loch Henry was my favourite, properly drew me in and had me completely hooked after the first few minutes.
Joan Is Awful was ok, watchable enough but much as I like Selma Hayek it just didn’t really work for me. She was playing for laughs with a caricature of herself and it added nothing to the show. Lovely trophies on display in the yellow cabinet though.
Beyond The Sea and Demon 79 both enjoyable with really nice retro attention to detail in their sets.
Mazey Day was my least favourite, I was interested enough in the twist but then lost it… anything to do with werewolves, vampires, zombies, any of that crap I just can’t be arsed with it

It does seem a bit “vanilla” compared to his previous BM offerings. We both enjoyed the first two episodes but they seems to both lack the depth previous episodes contained. Loch Henry was good, but the fate of the girlfriend seems a little gratuitous.
I see what you mean but on the other hand I think she had to die in order to leave him completely alone at the end as he wins his BAFTA. As he sits there contemplating that both of his parents and his girlfriend are all dead because of the subject of the film that he made. While this series was good it's lost the depth that it used to have. Earlier seasons based on the evolution of tech and how it can impact life had an 'oh st, that could be us one day' factor. The world is actually pretty scary when you think about it.
Most of the episodes in this season just feel like standard channel 4 film.
Joan is awful was the only one that felt like a black mirror episode.
Beyond the sea was so predictable, Aaron Paul was the only reason I didn't turn it off. The ending seemed fairly pointless, just felt like i'd wasted 90 mins of my life. Maybe a better idea would be to..
Have the people that killed David's family, find Cliff's family but only David (as Cliff on earth) knows and attempts to stop them, without wanting to alarm Cliff or his family.
One huge flaw with it was if they lived on the space station but could transmit down to earth to control and live as a robot, why not reverse it? Have the humans safely on earth and the robot versions on the space station.
