Just after a bit of help because I cannot find the information on the AM website!
What exactly does the sport plus pack entail? And what are the 'special' colours? Finally, is it available on the roadster?
Thanks for the help

It's basically just a set of cosmetic tweaks...
5 body colours..... (accents are applied to - front lipstick - side sills - mirror caps - rear diffuser blades)
Speedway White /Orange
China Grey /Yellow
Alloro Green /Yellow
Jet Black /Silver
Skyfall Silver / White
Lightweight 10-spoke graphite wheels are standard.
Inside the colour stripes/stitching can match the exterior accents, with black or grey apholstery and Alcantara dash, seat/door insets.
For the 17MY A.M. have removed the valved airbox from the standard V12S, this is included on the Sport-Plus gaining an extra 5bhp and 10Nm torque.
Hope this helps (it's in the latest guide smile )

I have a MY17 V12VS Manual on order so know quite a bit about Sports Pack Plus it as I looked into it in detail before ultimately deciding to spec my car without. I suspect most people will choose to take it however.

Lots of info here on the SP+ pack but also all the new MY17 options and pricing : http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

and yes, it is available on a Roadster as well as the Coupe (alebit the Alcantara Dash doesn't come on the Roadster as AM seem to think Alcantara and open tops don't mix)

The sports Plus pack is a great overall value package if you like the colours/decal packs, but in the end I decided to go down the route of making my car quite unique and optioning in some of the nice bits via Q.

If you have any specific detailed questions then ask away - I have the full scan of the dealer bulletin at home, so even if I can't answer the questions from memory I will have an answer for you this evening. smile

So there is no increased performance?
How much is the pack priced at?

Maybe I'm reading this wrong. It sounds like taking the 5 gee gees from the S and then charging you to have them back with some colour/wheel and trim options?

Not quite, but its a bit of both worlds...

Up to an including MY16:
V12VS Power/Torque was 565BHP/620Nm

From MY17
V12VS Power/Torque is 563BHP/620Nm

From MY17 with Sport Pack Plus
V12VS Power/Torque is 568BHP/630Nm

The official dealer literature on MY17 V12VS says that due to homologation the MY17 engine is now down from 565BHP to 563BHP due to the removal of the valved airboxes. Sport Pack Plus "adds back in the valved airboxes along with some adjustments to the engine calibration" resulting in the net increase in 5BHP more power and 10Nm more torque (as above).

However the official quoted performance remains the same for all 3 versions, in both manual and SSII versions - being 0-60 in 3.7secs and a max speed of 205mph. If this is true for all 3 outputs or not I do not know, logically it cannot be identical, however if 5BHP/10Nm is a measurable difference on each given likely factory engine output variances in real terms remains unknown. confused

So onto the issue of the value of Sport Pack Plus...

For MY17 Sport Pack Plus is priced at £5,995 which includes the following items which individually cost:

Choice of 5 Exterior Colour Combos : £3,495 (Special Paint price for Skyfall Silver or Alloro Green, however Speedway White, China Grey and Jet Black are cheaper)
Lightweight wheels in Graphite Silver: £3,745 (Graphite isn't otherwise available, but black lightweights are £3745 and Silver lightweights are £2,995)
Exterior Decals : £???? (Not individually available - however similar graphics packs on GT8 and GT12 cost £5995 in themselves!)
Alcantara Dash : £695 (Otherwise available only through Q special request)
Alcantara Duotone interior : £495 (Price for Alcantara/Leather combo interior)
Pure Black or Grey Blend interior : £1,195 (Price for Contemporary colour - both of which these are)
Phanton Grey Carpet : £995 (Obsidian Black is £0)
Seat Embroidery : £495
Power increase as per above : £???? (I haven't enquired how much to add it in individually as it really didn't bother me, 563BHP or 568BHP - both are plenty in my book! wink)

So as you can see, to individually add in the items in the Sports Pack Plus package to a normal V12VS would be anywhere between £6k and £11k depending on the exact colours you choose. So if you like the colour combos and its one of the more expensive combos then it really is a relative total bargain, and either way the power boost is effectively thrown in free of charge. If you are looking at getting the lightweight wheels anyway then you can justify at least half of the cost in that item itself! If however like me, none of them really float your boat then £6k is quite a lot of cash to splash of selected Q items to bespoke your car in other ways, or alternatively you can just save the cash and go for a cheaper buy price.

Hope this helps...

(Then there there is the entire world of the relative value of MY16 spec / price -VS- MY17 spec / price to explore, but these have been adequately covered already in the original V12VS Manual thread so I will leave it to you to read up on that).

I wouldn't get too wrapped up in the fine detail, if the cosmetic enhancements really appeal it offers better value than trying to replicate them via the options/Q list, if they don't you are better off spending the extra on your own choice of options. 5 extra horses will make no descendable difference to the performance, which is already ballistic winksmile
