Missing Actress - WTAF
Discussion
So Miss "Honeysuckle Hero Sarah Weeks" (potentially the worlds most stupid name!) has been found safe and well Friday evening after her family reported her missing at 10pm on Thursday.
They hadn't seen her since 9pm THURSDAY. So a whole fking hour! And she was found at a Relatives house!

I get that some people can feel depressed or have anxiety about things. And that these moments can be hard for the family. But you'd think from the media coverage she was a 6 year old missing for over a week!
At least it wasn't a colossal waste of Police time!

Pretty obvious she probably said she was going to top herself, so this is a non story really and op you can stop frothing at the mouth now.
Is that a police issue? Or a police issue if you are rich? Genuine question, because when my neighbour had this problem, apparently there was nothing that could be done. And I am the one who, with him, had to break into the bathroom and help drag the overdosed lady out, get the ambulance and drive to the hospital to collect him as he took the ambulance............
So who told the media and blasted it all over the papers? When my mate's son in law went missing in January (he also had mental health issues) the only people who knew for two days were just the family and the police. Even when he was found dead he was still only referred to in the press as a local 33 year old man. Seems to me that someone in the family wanted their 5 minutes of fame.

The law treats minor celebrities differently, look how a certain actress from the Archers got treated when she accused a man of fingering her in a train station despite him being totally innocent.
Did anything happen to her regarding that? As other people have suggested, it's not the time missing that dictates the risk (although it can contribute to it). Behaviour that's out of character can be a strong indication of risk.

Missing people takes up a huge amount of police time and a lot of it is mental health related. Genuine question, because when my neighbour had this problem, apparently there was nothing that could be done. And I am the one who, with him, had to break into the bathroom and help drag the overdosed lady out, get the ambulance and drive to the hospital to collect him as he took the ambulance...

In 2011/12 there were 280,357 (missing person) incidents, approximately 185,035 (66%) of which were classified as medium risk (12% were high risk and 23% were low risk). This equates to 506 medium risk missing person incidents every day (768 in total).

In the context of this thread (missing people) what you have written isn't true. dudleybloke said:

"So when I was 19 I thought I'd get them stoned so they'd just be happy and have fun together. I made mince pies and put dope in them. It seriously backfired. Dad's a health freak and was watching his weight, but Mum ate the pies and suddenly she was losing it and laughing, and losing at Pictionary, which she normally wins. It was awful. I laughed hysterically. For once I was persona non grata and they were united in disapproval."
She adds as an afterthought: "I did have the odd smoke, but not really anything else. Everyone smoked dope. But it's really important that it's clear my Mum didn't know there was dope in the mince pies because she's a Conservative candidate."
