Still watching last nights show. Danny's dance was a 10 by any standards, but they seem to undermark slightly in the early shows.
Yup, his years at Arts Ed university studying musical drama and dance are paying off!!

A shame, it was the first week that she seemed to conquer her fears - but a bit too late when the competition is so good.

I thought Naga was doing quite well, much better than Anastacia.
Maybe, but Anastasia showed more improvement in the dance-off and that is what the judges are supposed to judge on.

Personally, I'm not too fussed that Naga went out, but I am sad that Pasha has. I like Pasha.

Edit: I see that the Daily Mail are making it all about race now, and saying it is all a racist conspiracy that no white contestants have gone out yet. rolleyes

It's nothing to do with race, Anastacia is their big name star. Still just as corrupt but not offensive wobble

Naga had a lot more potential, imo.
First rule of strictly is, at least remember the steps.

Naga couldn't even do that.

Naga was useless, Anastasia was better (although she's clearly not going go much further).

At least Naga looked like she enjoyed that dance for once, I'm amazed at how awkward, shy, meek, stressed she's looked during the first few weeks. Just not a natural entertainer at all or comfortable in skimpy clothes in front of massive crowds.

She remembered a darned sight more than Ed Balls did, he truly had an absolute shocker with one of the worst dances I've ever seen. That his scores added up to double figures was the biggest shock of the weekend.

Yep, the DM first started that after Tameka was voted out, following Melvin previously, claiming that the BBC was racist and must be taken to task by an independent body. This reporting was all based on the fact that a few morons had taken to Twitter saying "racist" so they decided to run with it, as per usual.

Someone from the BBC then reminded the DM that the public are responsible for the voting / results of the shows so maybe the DM should actually claim the viewers are racist instead.

DM didn't like that so then claimed the BBC were "fixing" the results of the show in an attempt to get rid of the celebs that didn't suit the show starting with anyone who wasn't white or attractive rolleyes Of course Will Young leaving last week didn't quite fit their conspiracy theory so they had to briefly change track and stick the knife in from a different angle when they started stirring the crap about it all being due to Len, etc rolleyes

How does the DM explain the scores given to Ore then...?

And Oti - the top two couples featured black dancers.

To be honest the ones who have gone, with exception of Ed Balls and Anastacia early on, really have been the worst three. Tameka was the best of the ones who've gone but she wouldn't have lasted much longer I wouldn't have thought.

Have to say I agree broadly speaking. The best 2 of the bad dancers were Tameka and Anastasia. Anastasia has the sympathy vote and a load of fans while Naga was a bit of a cold fish. Can't see people warming to her

Ed, Anastasia and Judge Rinder will go next, the order is kind of irrelevant

^^^^ Not just DM, also Mirror and Evening Standard. A few narrow-minded dimwits complained on Twitter and then it's 'news'. Just lazy journalism. Then again, nothing new there!

Yes, I saw that on "It Takes Two" last night. I have to say Brendan looked like death warmed up; he looked seriously ill, and very pale and pasty.

Edit:
Anastasia explained that it's still Brendan's choreography and dance, it's just Gorka will be training her to Brendan's dance during the week. If Brendan is well enough to dance by the weekend then she will still be dancing with Brendan. So Gorka is literally just standing in for Brendan, rather than temporarily replacing him (ie. Gorka will not be contributing to the choreography).

It's not an ideal situation, but Brendan did look seriously unwell.

when we saw in in Harrogate last year he couldn't complete all the dances and was admitted to hospital with Pneumonia that same night - could be a recurrence.

his wife called him an idiot for carrying on over the weekend....
