Totally agree, Danny is such a ringer. He’s already at professional dancing level, which is not surprising as that is what he has trained to be. He’s way better than any of the others but I hope he doesn’t win. There are so many dull contestants this time, it’s taken all the fun out of it. Tameka and Laura were boring, but then so were Will, Daisy, Naga and Anastacia. I hope it gets more interesting later on.
Sorry, but I have to ask if this is true? redcard

I mentioned this to SWIMBO and she is currently writing a protest letter to the BBC Chair and Theresa May.

He does seem way to far ahead of the curve not to be a ringer. Mind you that was true for Pixie Lot, so why not for a bloke?

Um... no offence to you and the good lady wife, but I rather think the Prime Minister has more pressing issues to concern herself with that Strictly. The collapse of the country's economy being amongst them.

So Laura is not dancing this evening due to an ankle injury.

Blimey did you see the look of thunder on Len's face when Gorka sat Anastasia on the judge's desk at the end of their dance? If looks could kill they'd have been calling for a medic.

He put his professional smiley face back on for judging though.

Not that good a week on the dancing front. Ed made me laugh when he lifted his partner like a sack of spuds...though hopefully he'll be still in it for the Halloween special. Lesley and Anton were disappointing and Greg had a poor performance.
Liked Judge Rinder as he's very entertaining.

Ed will get through again despite a 'dance' equally as dreadful as last weeks'. Leslie and Greg are some way adrift of Rinder and the rest so expect them to be in the dance off with Leslie winning out, despite it being comfortably her worst dance of the competition.

Front runners appear to be Ore and Danny by some distance, everyone else is an also ran.

I think Louise and Daisy both still have a shot at the final and even winning. Louise needs to be a bit more entertaining/exciting but she's a very good dancer and gets the steps spot on.

Dissapointed in Greg though, hopefully he'll stay in as he's definitely capable of being a lot better.
Ed was Balls and Leslie wasn't great.

Also Claudias dance was probably the single fastest and most content filled dance I've ever seen on the show. I thought she did amazingly well to keep up with those steps at that speed as well as she did. Ridiculous coreography from AJ, glad the judges picked up on that a little bit.

I agree - it was absolutely frenetic and I struggled to keep up with it. As one of the judges said (I think it was Len), they sacrificed technique for speed, and it was just too fast.

A samba without bounce is not a samba. Sorry. It was too fast and lacked rhythm.

Wasn't Greg's dance this but hope he gets through. Ed, Lesley in trouble.

Wasn't expecting Daisy to be in the dance off! Shame, I think that makes it curtains for Lesley

Lesley had no hope against Daisy. Shame though as Ed really ought to be leaving about now and it was quite inspiring watching Lesley dance and nice for Anton to have a partner capable of learning steps for once!

Anton had Katy Dereham as his partner last season. Didn't they get to the final (or at least very close to it).

That's the thing though. Daisy's dance was very good, but Lesley had way more scope for improvement so had the judges stuck to their official remit of judging only on improvement then Lesley may have stood a chance. Having said that, her dance off wasn't hugely better in the dance-off (although she was clearly making an effort not to bob up and down so much).

Greg really should have been in the dance-off. Even he thought so.

What's all this 'scope for improvement' thing? Have I missed something? I thought the idea of the dance off was they voted for the best dancer, improvement or not.

Strictly is never an out and out dance contest though as many people like to warm to the performers throughout the series and see a progression. That is why Danny will not win, he has no where to go! Even Ore may have peaked too soon...

Is it too early to go for the finalists?

Nah...
For me it's got to be Danny, Louise, Ore and Laura (just for the eye candy). Ed will be like the other hapless comedy value dancers and fall in the later stages. I am secretly a Judge Rinder fan though...for his entertainment value though...

Danny, Ore, Louise and Daisy. Daisy will go first, then Danny and Ore will probably win over Louise in the battle of the Cliftons.

Definitely not Daisy. Most probably Ore or Laura (Louise as an outsider).
