Without the voting figures, we'll never know, but I suspect Daisy just isn't popular. Or at least, there are other dancers that the great unwashed are willing to vote for. Maybe it's from the 'furore' that she was a massive shoe-in to win from week 1? I reckon she'll be bottom two next week as well. The bookies have had her as least likely to win, apart from Ed Balls, for a while now.

Ed improved this week, but considering his previous two dances it would be virtually impossible not to improve - I reckon if I just turned up on the day and made it up as I went along I couldn't do any worse. If he's not in the dance off next week then barring any glaring errors I think Greg and Judge Rinder will be worried. Give it another week or so and we'll have to start losing decent dancers.

I hadn't heard that.

Never have been over impressed with Daisy, it seems that the general public think likewise. Expect to see her and Greg in the bottom two quite a bit. If Ed can repeat a performance like this week then he should be in for at least another week or two.

Unusually, I don't have a major favourite this year - but it would be nice to see Louise or Ore still there at the end.

Daisy has the best legs, but that's about it.

She lacks 'snap' in her dance, a bit like Rachel Riley in 2013.

Greg bores me sh*tless.

Louise is great, Danny 'too' good for the spirit of the show, Ed is one of the funniest things ever seen on British TV, but Ore for the win.

Ed is both amusing and, I think, slightly better than the usual 'Strictly Duffer' so might stay in a couple more weeks.

I agree. yes

Anyone else think that Anastasia bursting into song was a bit cringeworthy? Even Tess looked uncomfortable.

Although she's calmed down a bit over the last week or two she's been pretty much cringeworthy from start to finish.

Edited that for you.

Anyway I like daisy, she's actually more genuine and likable than I expected and she dances well. BUT I agree she's missing a little bit of pizzaz or something.

Definitely the right person went home last night for once. Anastasia was horrible to watch last night imo, jive just didn't suit her. Looked like a drunk person trying to do an Irish jig.

Ed was surprisingly good and entertaining to watch. Some of the others were dull or dissapointing.

Thought Claudia danced well and looked very graceful and smooth which is tricky when you're 3' 2" tall.

And Laura was excellent, and I've never really enjoyed any of her dances before.

Daisy comes across as a bit disingenuous her smile feels false and that might explain the poor voting.

her Paso was not great imho it was too smooth and a ploddy and lacked some strength in the steps for me. Glad Greg got through as it wasn't really his fault.

Danny made a few mistakes and Ore wasn;t his usual faultless self.

I think claudia had dance of the week and could be a dark horse...

Louise could have done with a bit more "support" during her dance it was raaaather distracting daaaaling...

Exactly. Strictly always has a joke act, but this time Ed is making a decent attempt to show the selectors a thing or two. I'm not saying he's any good, but he's punching way above his weight with his effort and he's clearly enjoying himself. Good for him.

I thought Ed's dance was brilliant telly, this series would be a flop without him and the producers know it. His relaxed middle class comedy genius and Katya's legs is the perfect combo.

Ed, Claudia and Louise final please, unlikely I know but the rest send me to sleep.
Totally agree, although I like Judge Rinder too - he's improving and always entertaining. It's so obvious Danny will win, he's way better than the rest. I even thought he may have deliberately tripped over Oti a lot just so he can "improve" next week and come back with a bang. Cynical I know, but he must have known he'd be saved even if he was in the dance-off. I think the judges overmark Ore just to give Danny competition but they're both dull in my opinion.

I agree. And, further, he's endeared himself to the public too which is why he keeps getting a public vote. You'll have the people who vote for the joke act anyway, but also people who respect what he's trying to do. He has Jeremy Vine's work ethic but, unlike poor Jeremy, has somewhat more talent.

I thought his dance on Saturday was everything Strictly should be. Hugely entertaining, and it even had Craig in stitches. smile

Edited to add: I really like Judge Rinder too. Hugely entertaining every week, and can actually dance fairly well too.

Agreed, never thought I'd like him but his dances are really entertaining

The complete opposite of Laura, technically good but she's so boring
