Sickening to see how low BBC will stoop, to make a fix.
Surely after the rigged telephone votes scandal of a few years ago they wouldn't dare rig it? Not on the public vote anyway. The only way to legitimately rig it would to make the public vote carry less weight than the judges decision.

I don't think the judges' and public scores are weighted. My understanding is that the judges' scores are ranked from top down e.g. 6,5,4,3,2,1. The public votes then also rank them from top down and the two rankings are added together to give a combined ranking. I believe this is why earlier on in the competition good, mid-ranking contestants can find themselves in the bottom 2 places. You could have a judges' 'ranked score' of 4 or 5 but if no one votes for you you only get 6 or 7 in total. A popular person can easily get a high ranking from the public pushing them up the table.

and if Claudia had have gone through would it have been a fix as well?

hands down Ore was a better overall dancer than Claudia who at times looked stompy and lacked natural rhythm - it was very very close across all four and the best dance off ever across any series.

I actually thought claudia showed a bit of improvement in the dance off so I wouldn't have begrudged her going through on that performance.

do they publish the telephone voting numbers after the final?

Surely it would make sense to make the voting and results more transparent? Give voting numbers, weightings etc.

Doesn't need to be given on the show, could just be provided on the website after the results/dance off.

Only if the tinfoil hatters say it is, because they're the ones who know. wink

odd isn't it that?

when the one you want to win doesn't, obviously a fix....

have the last three winners all been fixes too? Jay? Caroline? Abby?

I assume its how the public and judges votes are used to determine the ranking, as there ought to be a lot more public people than judges.

As much as I like Claudia I don't think there was any fixing involved, would just be curious seeing the numbers myself nerd

IIRC, X-Factor does but Strictly doesn't.

Agree, can't see that any fixing was evident, or even needed. Claudia was good, but the other 3 were (slightly) better - isn't that the whole point of a competition ?

The phone vote just helps put the two lowest dancers in the dance-off. It doesn't decide who goes through as that's down to the judges on the night voting for the best between the two dance-off dances. There's no rigging.

For me in the dance-off Claudia had improved and Danny looked a little ragged, his dance certainly not being as good as Saturday nights show. There was nothing in it and I think Danny's past performance influenced the judges more that just the dance-off dances.

Exactly how i saw it. On that dance alone I would have put Claudia through as I felt she danced it really beautifully, almost flawlessly, whereas I felt Danny looked a but compared to earlier.

But Danny was clearly better overall and the judges wanted him in the final and as both dances were so good they could justify puttingnh ik m through over her, just about anyway.

Shame as it would have been a great upset to see him knocked out and I would have sent the Danny fans on here beserk with conspiracy theory rubbish!

They manipulated it with the judges' scoring, how can you not see that? Honestly I just can't imagine what life must be like seeing so much and understanding so little. All three finalists are signed up to the tour, and they have a black celebrity in the final to address earlier criticism, happy days.
I can't work out whether you are a swivel-eyed loony or a masterful troll. Either way, it's rather tiresome.

Who cares? It's a TV show.

EXCITING TIMES TONIGHT!

We watched the final It Takes Two last night and it's the first time Danny has come across as caring, emotional and invested in the whole thing really. Actually found him a lot warmer and more likeable. The whole show was actually surprisingly emotional as all three couples seem to have very genuine and very close relationships and are all quite emtional about their "journeys".

I still would rather one of the othe two wins over Danny but I'm not too bothered either way. Should be a great final anyway as they're all excellent.

Guess I'd better start trying to find something else decent to waste my time watching now...

I veiw the end of Strictly and the Apprentice as a sign of the end of winter!

I thought Ore's first time doing his routine was less stilted, ditto for Louise. I think they are all pretty nervous.
