Skies above Britain - bbc 2
Discussion
From some of the fragments I saw in there I think they may have taken things originally intended as standalone series (something on ATC, something on RAF trainees, something on search and rescue), chopped them together, added some filler, and thrown a lot of the original material away.
A few rather sloppy explanations of some aspects of military flying.
They kind of intimated that fast jet pilots experience high Gs because the aircraft can travel so fast. That's not really the case as it's more to do with the tightness of the turns they can pull.
The narrator also explained that aircrew needed decompression training because of the speed that a jet can descend - which is just plain wrong.
The piece on the flying brothers was quite good but they could have, at least once, actually mentioned the types of aeroplanes they were flying.
