What did your eggs weigh and how many did you use.?

I did a cake with similar result this morning using 3 eggs but they weighed 8 and 3/8 all double yolked. I was given a tray of eggs last week and they have nearly all been double yolked but no idea what type of hens they came from.

They were 235g in the shell and that was 4.

Once I'd cracked them into the bowl it was a little over 200g of eggs to 225g each of butter, sugar and flour.

Mr. Hollywood was in the Times over the weekend. Claims he was never paid over £71k for a series! (If true he has done very well marketing himself.)

If the budget was £6 million, and the talent gets (lets be generous) £400k (four bods), where do they spend the other £5.6 million? The tent? Waitrose might be premium but it's not that absurd.

With an uplift to £25million, what will they be doing - baking on Concord? With solid gold crockery?

£71K?? Hes having a laugh. Probably another £250K in future rights/endorsements and £250K for his 'agents' company of which hes the sole director

I'm just watching the second Christmas special. Mary Berry handling the radish (about 10 mins in) is hysterical. biggrin

And to raise the level a bit - in the first one, Cathryn is 100% yummy. cloud9

A funny bunch, I thought. Much emphasis on Fielding to glue it together, but who knows, it could be an inspired line-up.

Just saw that on the news. Fielding seems a really leftfield choice - so leftfield he's over the edge and out of sight. Can he be relied upon to maintain any composure? He's what would have been called years ago "zany". Not at all sure that's what the show needs.

Just looked at replies to Mel Geidroyc's tweet about this.

Not a popular line up.

Can't see Fielding working myself, seem like they had the have someone who'd be 'C4'

The others should be OK, but Prue's always been a bit straight in the programmes I've seen her in.. She's not got Mary's charm.

Time will tell, but am ooot.

I also think that Fielding will get on Hollywood's nerves with too much clowning around.

Hollywood trying to be all serious contest.

How long till he "pies" a contestant with their bake ?

Precisely my thoughts. I can see him doing that, and also maybe pinching their ingredients and eating them. He'll be looking for laughs and projecting his own image, rather than caring about the show and its success. Unless a leopard can change its spots.

It's a very odd choice indeed, unless Sandi is going to keep him on a very tight leash

Really? Six of one, half a dozen of the other in my opinion. Both of them have the same annoying trait, i.e. it's all about meeeeeee!!!!!
