Julian Clary would have done a great job I reckon.

Innuendo? What innuendo? Endless references to rough men working on his back passage. Funny enough for a few minutes, but not 1 hour every week, thank you very much.

Quite right, no need to end up with a soggy bottom.

Juilian Clary, a genius choice. Julian Clary and Jack Dee.

For all those who were moaning (and that might not just be on PH) that C4 have adverts and you'll lose some of the baking action, Channel 4 have confirmed that the episodes will fit into a 75 minute timeslot to allow for the same 60 minute show + the 9-12 minutes of adverts, but therefore not interfere with the actual format of the show.

Which goes to prove that people do love to moan without knowing all the facts.

Well It's certainly getting good reviews from those who gave seen the preview, and as above extended to allow for adverts, so fair enough.

The one thing that the critics seem to particularly find favourable is that, apart from three quarters of the presenters/ judges they have changed precisely nothing, again fair enough. Surprisingly, to me at least, Noel Fielding comes out as the star pick. Used to find him too try hard downright weird and annoying from his input on such as 9 out of 10 cats etc,but recently gave seen him on other things, e.g. Taskmaster, definitely warming to him.

Going to give it a go, but fast forward through the adverts obviously.

In other news, looking at past winners, Nadia is definitely going / has gone full chat for the TV career, annoying Candice not so much, TFFT.

Interesting comment about Nadia. She came across as a bit shy and modest during Bake Off, but from what I've seen of her on other stuff she's a confident and warm personality who's a natural for TV presenting. Maybe she's had tuition in public speaking or whatever, but good for her - very likeable lady.

Nadiya has never been off the BBC since she won bake off. It wouldn't surprise me if she was in contention for the Top Gear job as well. smile

I would assume her confidence will have been built up doing the various shows she has done. She's certainly the golden girl of the BBC.

I agree but it doesn't hurt that she ticks a few diversity boxes as well smile

I will give new bake off a chance.

I can turn off any time I want if I don't like it.

Nadiya has really found her feet on tv quickly, grown to like her.

And very attractive IMO. Wish she could lose the scarf.

Watched Eposide 2 last night. I enjoyed it, perhaps a little bit more than the last series.

No Mary Berry's a definite bonus, Noel's a nice bloke, Sandi's herself and the Baker Bloke seems happy. Yep, just fine, thanks smile

yes She has a much stronger personalty than was apparent in GBBO. I wonder if that's because of the circumstances or because she's actually changed because of winning the show?
