Had to smile at Jay's lack of technical understanding of what a dual clutch gearbox is when launching the M4, and being told off by the instructor not to 'load the trans' on the brake as if it was a torque converter auto laugh

Interesting show again .
Yes best car show on at the moment.
Agreed. Its a nice mix of features and seems very fresh. Its certainly cured my sunday night TG withdrawal symptoms.
I agree. An enjoyable hour. I've always liked Leno. He was a good guest on Top Gear back in the day.

I'm sure Hennessey didn't fiddle with Mustang overnight either, 194mph on the rolling road with no wind resistance and the next morning it does 207.9mph on the open road!
Was the driver wearing seat belts during the run as they weren't that apparent if he was? Another very enjoyable show.

How does this differ from his youtube videos?

It differs from the youtube stuff in that it's more aimed at mass audience entertainment. It's nowhere near as detailed as the youtube content. Still worth a watch but the youbtube contents much better.

Funny this week when they talked about the Mclaren f1 and the first picture they flashed up was of a GT40. I guess whoever was responsible for that content was not a car person.

Also interesting to see them give Hennessey air time given I have heard some terrible things about their business practices online.

Limiter was removed for sure, considering the comments about bouncing off if..

Another pretty good episode - the bit with the Mustang was a bit confusing as they said it red-lined at 193mph on the dyno but managed to go faster the next day, unless they're just ignoring the red line for the timed run. Loved the brief Pathe-style film of the chap riding the monocycle - especially the way he kicked his way through a gate, then took it down some stairs and almost fell off it.

I was worse than that.
Just prior, they were going on about that chap's P1, cutting to motorshow stand footage....but showed one of the other McLaren models (12C?)

Production values do leave a bit to be desired, but the budget for the series is relatively peanuts so I'm willing to forgive.

There's quite an emphasis on prices all the way through it - it seems they almost can't show a car without telling us how much it would have cost new, and often how much it's worth now.

The bonkers baron and his creations was great too.

I really enjoy the variety of vehicles on the programme and Leno has a very amiable manner about him. The eccentric Baron guy with the collection of mad vehicles was excellent!

I wouldn't care if he dropped the 3 car value thing they do each week.

Nice X1-9 though.

The below seems to cover the issues with Hennessey for anyone interested.

No personally experience myself but I remember when I was reading up on the Venom and coming across all this stuff online. It's of course people complaining about stuff on the internet but there seems to be an awful lot of it.

The first episode was good but is seems to me to have gone downhill since then, it's almost like a children's programme with its fire engine and tank facts. I would have loved to have seen more of his collection on it.
