Hi after getting persuaded by my daughter to turn vegan I reluctantly watched a couple of videos and I was shocked as how cruel the dairy and meat industries are, now I am not preaching here but from a man who loves his meat like I love my MEAT from 4 egg omelet plus sausages bacon etc. breakfast plus a whole chicken or a couple of tins of tuna for lunch and dinner well enough said.

I am just starting on this journey and it will be a tricky one . we are told from a very young age that meat and dairy are good for a healthy life but we are not built to eat or consume animal products. here is informative videos
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=es6U00LMmC4

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-XP79o8gqQ

they are sad to watch but very inspiring and informative.

But the main point here is to meet and discuss vegetarianism and vegan-ism with like minded folk are you out there?

I am not vegetarian but I don't get all the hate. I agree with all the vegetarian/vegan arguments to be truthful - I just lack the manpower to do it.

You've got loads of direct control of choice in the welfare of animals for cosumption.

If you want to make moral life choices start with where your clothes and electronics are made

But of course all the child slave labourers, pollution of 3rd world, and of course cute fuffy anmials wiped out to the point if extinction by poachers to feed lithium miners is secondary to having the new iphone8xr becasue your "old" iphone 7xs has a scratch.

Sorry Im being political and this is health... but you did post justification videos... try the eggs from a local farm shop theyre a different species from all that supposedly free range supermarket stuff. Happy animals taste nicer. Everyones a winner.

It's part of a wider plan

1) Tell us meat and dairy are good
2) Tell us vaccinations are good
3) ?
4) Profit

My wife turned Vegan and I found it hard to argue against what she was saying, it does make a lot of logical sense. I've cut back a lot on non-vegan foods, still eat Fish and Chicken. I think they don't know what's going on really compared with a cow/pig/sheep etc, so I think it's ok to eat them. After doing this I feel a lot better than I used to and have more energy. I was a really big sceptic, but it has made a good difference to my life

Hmm yes quite right but you see a predatory fish natural instinct is to eat a live animal be it daphnia worms shrimps etc. (same as a tiger or lion it has canine teeth a very small intestine and claws) but we are not give a 1 year old child a live rabbit will he rip it a part and eat it raw or play with it ? its all learnt behaviour promoted by the meat and dairy industries for big profits smile

Good thing we learned to use fire to cook our meat a long long time ago, then. So long ago I can't even remember it, and I'm pretty old!

Dont forget as a vegan then you will be removing all animal products from your life. Are you going to be throwing away your leather shoes? changing your car? changing your toothpaste? your washing powder? There are millions of products that you would not think contain animal products that suddenly should be off your list.
