The original Die Hard has been on tv a few times recently, and once I start watching its very hard to turn off. I wouldn't put it up there with my favourite films, but it's very watchable.

I have problem with the original 'War of the Worlds' and also with 'The Devil Rides Out'. Both are old and a bit cheesy but somehow addictive when they suddenly appear in the schedules.

For some reason I can watch bad epics repeatedly Armageddon, Independence Day, 2012 that sort of stuff. Others like Gone in 60 seconds, Cars, Planes, Cars 2, Toy Story etc I can pick up anywhere.

Things like Shawshank, Italian Job etc I have to be in the mood for.

It always seems to be Armageddon for me. Somehow seems to be on all the time when I am wondering what to watch!

For me Das Boot. I've seen it loads of times and it never loses the drama.

Also The Blues Brothers. Just never gets boring and also the best car chase ever.

A bizarre one for me because I absolutely detest football violence, think they're comically unrealistic, poorly acted and always centered around a London firm, but whenever there's a football hooliganism film on the TV - be it Football Factory, Green Street, Cass, The Firm etc I can't help but watch it.

Dunno why as invariably I end up wondering why I bothered with such tosh, but bother I do, every time!
This, absolutely this. Though it is fun watching Danny Dyer being kicked into next week (did that also happen in a dream sequence in another film except he has the rather good fortune to end up in bed with Gillian Anderson lick?)

Anyhoo..

Crank, Lock Stock, Smokin' Aces, Police Academy (only the 1st), Gumball Rally, Porky's.

Oh dear getmecoat

Same here.
Yup...Ive got the same issue. Even if its 10 minutes in, and has adverts all the way through I'll watch it on TV instead of getting the DVD out.

Independence Day. Very silly but highly enjoyable, will Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum especially being on top form. One of the last blockbusters to rely more on practical effects than CGI, so still looks pretty good today. Sequel was ste though.
