Plus I have a "thing" for Fay Ripley.
Form an orderly queue..

..and no pushing in at the back!
We got to see her in a basque tonight. Happy days.

PS What did Pete do for a profession in previous series? I can't place him in the context of incomes.

Something to do with IT I think, same as Adam.

Really? I thought it was dreadful! Predictable (the children are going to end up in bed together, the eBay match tickets David buys will be dodgy, James Bolam will end up in hospital etc) and full of clichés. The match ticket thing was just lazy writing, teams do not play each other on the same date every year, how could they not have realised the tickets were from the previous year? Having them as counterfeit would have been more plausible, but still very predictable. And the Fay Ripley 'undercover cop' story line was just crap. All IMHO of course...

Only watched episode 1 so far.

I used to love Cold Feet back in the day, but so far it's just nostalgic - I'll seen how it goes.

I must say, though, that I never much liked Hermione Norris in anything since, but she seems much more appealing in this than anything else I've seen her in (both physically and as a character - The 'new' wife has the role of 'superbh' of course biggrin) over the years.

I guess that might indicate she can actually ACT biggrin

Shame that Baxendale (obviously) can't be back though, I think she's awesome in Cuckoo!

Hermione Norris carries the whole thing - she's a top-class act.

I liked James Bolam's quip after he fell and received the nasty gash on the head - "Don't worry, I'm fine, it's just like old times when we played Millwall......."

(IIRC Man Utd used to have as many thugs as the best of them back in the 70s - easily as dodgy as Millwall)

She's very good and John Thomson is excellent in this series.

Decent enough second episode but trying to recreate 'football supporters' going to a game or watching it in a pub always makes me cringe.
Wonder where the 'landlady seeing the married man' story line will go ?

She's excellent.

Enjoyed ep2, lots of (subtle) humour. My only criticism is that the storyline has moved on too quickly (much like season 5 of the Wire), but I guess with only 8 episodes the writers have to have the stories developed quickly.

For instance, Adam realising Pete is depressed, I understand they are best friends etc but with more episodes they could have allowed the story to develop at a slower pace and thus have a bigger impact as a result.

Very good drama though and I'm glad to have Cold Feet back.

Is this supposed to be a comedy? So far we have had:

Expulsion from school
Drugs
Depression
Marriage on the rocks
Loneliness
'Murder'
Depression
Stalking
'Fraud'
Teenage sex
Teenage angst

fk me, a laugh a minute!

Last in the series tonight but series 7 is being written as we speak.... bounce

Was a fan before when it was on but love it now. Yes, some of it is not as good as previously but the storyline of Pete's depression and Josh's coming out was very well handled, considering there's only eight shows.

Predictable guff but very enjoyable guff at that.

Loved Nesbitt's line: "you realise that's your guitar?"

The finale on the roof terrace was terribly contrived - a weak attempt at a Richard Curtis ending. Embarrassing.

I enjoyed the series on the whole.

I always wonder that, something in IT isn't it ? Must be very very well paid given the places he's lived around the world, the flat he rented and the fact he never seemed to actually be at work rolleyes plenty of artistic license being given there I think.

Excellent series though, some cracking lines and very enjoyable watching.

It's never going to be any more than a sit-com; I enjoyed the originals and enjoyed the return.

Ramona: Bite him David! Bite his balls!

LOL

Love Hermione Norris.
