was a good series but damp squib at end on roof top terrace almost as if they knew another series was lined up.....
and what does adam do for work -he always seems free compared to others
I always wonder that, something in IT isn't it ? Must be very very well paid given the places he's lived around the world, the flat he rented and the fact he never seemed to actually be at work rolleyes plenty of artistic license being given there I think.

Excellent series though, some cracking lines and very enjoyable watching.
back in the 90s he was a systems analyst, and drove a Golf convertable, so yes he is in IT.

Week 1. Pete's a bit grumpy.
Week 2. Pete gets diagnosed with depression.
Week 3. Loads of stuff happens to make him feel less in control.
Week 5. Pete considers suicide.
Week 6. Pete's fine, and is coming off his anti-depressants.

Adam and his new missus decide that four months living in different countries is too much to bear, so they split up.

Why did the CPS drop the charges over David just because it turns out his company did know what he was up to? He still did it.

So the writer was only given six episodes. That's no excuse to create soap opera storylines, and concatenate one or two years' worth of story arch into six weeks.

Still, it could have been worse. At least Helen Baxendale wasn't in it.

It was (unusually) 8 episodes. We enjoyed them and looking forward to the next series :-)

I had expected more from it but I didn't know that I wasn't going to get more from it until it had finished. Once it ended, I did indeed switch (over) the channel. If only I'd got your advice sooner.

Really? Blimey. One wonders why, when they could have fitted all of that into six. wink

Yeah I agree with you, I should have taken my own advise and switched over too, but I was waiting for it to get started, then suddenly last episode! I was a little disappointed also. Well at least 'The Walking Dead' is back on our screens, sorry to go off subject!

It's back smile

More in that episode than some shows manage in a series - I felt like I'd watched a long and satisfying film by the end!

Looking forward to the rest of the series now...

I can't believe they're trying to gloss over the fact that that's clearly not Adam's old house though. It's about twice the size and the lounge is on the other side of the staircase where the neighbours were smile

Random bit of info.
I was wracking my brains trying to think what I'd seen George Kirkbright (the wealthy businessman) in before.
Turns out it's Robert Glenister, not that I'd have seen him in anything but his brother is Phil Glenister, hence the likeness.

Anyone still watching some guilty-pleasure girly telly?! Generally it's really well written, but this series seems to have them acting out of character, and the Karen-Adam storyline is just ridiculous!

Agreed. Love Cold Feet and have loved it since the very first series - like all the best comedies time and again it can have you laughing your head off then blubbing like a baby within seconds. However the Adam Karen storyline is dreadful.

Yeah, still enjoying it.

Some of the story lines are a bit far fetched but happy to put it down to artistic license (Adam's lifestyle & wealth for example as a bloke who does some web stuff...).

Another one with this guilty pleasure. Karen is probably the smartest one of them all, yet she's supposed to have her head turned by someone she knows thinks with his genitals? Stupid plotline from the planners/writers.

Still a decent watch though. Fay Ripley still does it for me.

I absolutely hate her character; I cannot warm to Jenny, she is just so self absorbed.

One would presume his wife had life insurance. That, with damages would have been quite some payout.
Fair point, hadn't thought of that.
