On the subject of Jaws (Richard Kiel), does anyone know why he had a wierd lump on his forehead? I always wondered if it was something to do with makeup.

What I'd like to know is does zero gravity really have the same effect on young ladies breasts that it would appear to have if you believe the films poster. Lois Chiles looks like she could have someone's eye out with those.
Oh man Ms Chiles was nice!!!!

But every bit with Moore, Walken or the Airship was at Pinewood with the big models and green screens.
That ^^^ is the scene I had in my head regards scale and the relative size of the actors.
IIRC the documentary on the AVTAK DVD mentions that there were a few wide angle shots done in California with a real airship overflying the GGB.

I did a bit of googling with regard to this bridge business and according to IMDB the then mayor of San Francisco was a huge fan of Roger Moore so basically allowed the film makers to do what they like. The only thing they weren't allowed to do was chuck the Walken dummy off the bridge, apparently that was achieved using some clever optical tricks.

Out of gratitude for the help they received the world premier of the film was held in SF.

That's a bit harsh. I can't think of a bad film he's made.

I like the fire engine car chase and bridge jump. Thats must have taken a lot of persuasion, so the above make a lot of sense

Personally I'd rather watch the utter cheese of Rog-era Bond than the pseudo-serious yet tissue-thin nonsense of Craig. Yeah, it might be oh-so-gritty and "real on the surface, but leave out the Bond megabucks and heritage and they're actually pretty poor films in many ways.... mostly because they make some claim towards reality.

Casino Royale? Talk about too many endings, like just pick one and stick with it. Quantum of Solace? So when will supervillains work out that making their amazingly secret lair out of the most idsagreeably explosive material known to man is possibly considered a design flaw.
Casino Royale - you'll need to take that up with Mr. Fleming, this was one of the closest storylines to the original book (although the locations were very different).

QoS - There was no secret lair - that was a hotel! It was powered by fuel cells due to its very remote location (which presumably was why it was chosen as a meeting point between people who didn't want to be seen together).
