National Treasure: Ch4 9pm
Discussion
Blurb: Robbie Coltrane stars as Paul Finchley, a much-loved, ageing comedian, accused of a rape dating back to the 90s in this powerful new drama series, with Julie Walters.
This is the first major role RC's played in seven years and looks to be very good. It's a four part series starting on Tuesday at 9pm on Ch4.

Looked quite promising from the trailers but agreed, it was a bit crap.
Coltrane and Julie Walters both very good as one would expect but the whole thing came across as a bit....predictable?
I also couldn't help but roll my eyes and sigh a sigh of disappointment when they rounded off with the increasingly common "If you've been affected by any of the issues raised in this program..." shizzle.
If you've been affected by any of the issues raised in this program you'll probably be avoiding it anyway.

I watched it and thought it was good. Robbie Coltrane looks to be suffering for the weight he carries. Here's a brief synopsis of the first episode:
Robbie Coltrane plays half of a popular comedy double act which is very famous. Tim McInnerny plays the partner. One day, out of the blue, the police knock on his door with a search warrant and accuse him of rape some 23 years ago. His wife (Julie Walters) is not happy. She has known of his many infidelities over the years and this is a step too far. She consigns him to sleep on the sofa. The police found a load of violent porn on his phone. The police 'leak' the story of his arrest to the press as a fishing exercise to see if any more claims are made against him. He has hired a hot shot lawyer recommended to him by a friend who is using a rough looking ex detective as his investigator. He also has an adult daughter who is suffering from mental illness to contend with.
