Last minute heads up sorry if thread already up.already started at nine pm but should be on ITV hub. About Newcastle police car crime team. Don't know if its connected to show of same title from 2006 about Manchester car crimcrime teams.

I nearly resurrected one of the old threads but they all seemed to be from the BBC. smile

Re the bilking: it would seem the petroleum companies are bilking us the motorist as the price of oil has been coming down for months, though they continue to increase the price at the pump.

I must say the dog was very well behaved to have remained down while that was all going on.

at about 9:42pm the dog handler appears to be on the phone to her husband driving with one hand (likely other hand being used for the phone). Seems odd to keep in the program

It seems that the police don't have the resources to focus on car crime anymore and seem to waste all their time dealing with feral oxygen thieves. rolleyes

Traffic cops doesn't feature much traffic work either nowadays.

The dog handler didn't seem to have a seat belt on during the whole episode too.

I liked the part where the driver wouldn't do what the policeman asked him to do, and so the policeman smashed his way in through the windscreen.

I watched that, but probably won't bother with the rest. Too much background, not enough car chase in-car footage. Probably a much more accurate view of how it all works, and possibly not a bad programme for it, but I watch these things for entertainment, not to see how glum that driver looked when they were reading out the charges.

The two lads who'd crashed into the parked car were obviously on something, I couldn't figure out which was the driver and whether the other one was just a passer-by, or passenger, or just some other nutter. I thought she did well to not just set the dog on the pair of them and have done with it.

Good job she's been highly trained to drive at high speed with no seat belt whilst driving with one hand and operating a two way radio. Us mere mortals just have to listen to the lecture on how we'll die an instant death because its so dangerous when pulled for similar circumstances.
There was one on the Rookies program the other week too with her seat belt under her armpit. That'd do her a lot of good too in an accident.
Never mind , do as they say and not as they do!

Valid points
Never said I agreed with it. Mine is always on unless I'm driving down a high street on a club night.

Best one tonight,Audi A5 pursuit,at one point 5 mph because he has a tyre missing.
Driver utterly perplexed why he was stopped.

"If I get done for this ,it's pathetic"

Blew 3 times the limit at the station.

Bizarre !

Another thing.
Derek,New recruit to Dragoon squad ,managed to cook his engine.

Do BMWs not have a temp gauge, low coolant warning ?

Or he chose to ignore in the Chase ?
