One of the ideas I read is that he can appear in a white suit. He would actually be playing the ghost of Bond and only be seen by M who would talk to him quite naturally.

just found out that Bob Holness (he of blockbusters fame) was the second actor to portray JB !
That's one of those bits of useless trivia I have stored away incase it ever comes up in a quiz question.
Apparently he played it on a South African radio drama smile

Aaron Taylor Johnson has apparently turned down the role , he doesn't want to be typecast or something trendy & chic

he was also in the fantastic Bullet Train.
Agreed. I'm happy with this choice, a bit left field. Nice.

Jesus,
Or maybe he was never offered it in the first place.

Sun clickbait.

Has he definitely turned it down? Or is it a way of deflecting questions until an official announcement? A simple "I can neither confirm nor deny" would be taken as a "yes".

From what I can tell its all conjecture. No one has official said one thing or another. Brocoli has said in the past they don't talk about who they are considering they just announce it once its official. It must be so a closely guarded secret I struggle to see how it leaks.

Of course I might eat my words in a few days, we shall she.

The Sun have done this countless times before, to the extent that the wording of the allegations is almost copy-and-paste. Every time it has been hogwash.

After finishing the gentleman Netflix series I reckon Theo James who played ‘the duke’ wouldn’t be a bad shout for playing the next bond tbh

Just finished watching The Gentlemen on Netflix (thoroughly recommended) and thought to myself that Theo James, who played the lead role, might have made a good Bond.

Quite possibly, I'm struggling to see why anyone would refuse the Bond role tbh.

No need to apologise, the rumour mill is fun and one day the story will be true. Im sure most of us on here are huge fans and all want to see who will be next and when we might get another film

Yeah I know - it's the other bit of useless trivia about Holness, that I referred to in my post, that is an urban myth.

The trivia I didn't know until I read the IMDB link is his daughter was in "Toto Coelo" who did "I Eat Cannibals". I do remember them wearing dresses made from bin bags on Top of the Pops.

MI6-HQ website pouring cold water on the rumours with sound reasoning...

mi6-hq.com said:
For each new 007 actor cast, a director has been in place for the screen tests and casting process. No director has been confirmed for Bond 26...
and interestingly go on to add...

and MI6 understands that the film is not officially green lit yet by MGM (and parent company Amazon Studios).
I've been following that site for over 20 years and in that time they have never put a foot wrong with regards to Bond news. If it ain't on there then it ain't happening.

BBC sources deny Aaron Taylor-Johnson rumours.
