I still don't get it and I've seen it more than enough times now.

Bond films are very age specific. I grew up in the Brosnan era which is I hold him as my favourite. Likewise, when watching a Connery era film all I see is a bit of a rapey creep!

Not much love for Thunderball on here then? I thought it was one of the better ones.
Despite the DB5, Vulcan and Disco Volante, never warmed to it. Of all the Bond films to make a remake, they choose this one...
Which one was the remake of Thunderball?
Never 'Shay never again. But like others are now saying, I'm coming out as a fan of Octopussy, so dont pay any attention to me silly

I think the biggest question here is: Does anyone actually like Live And Let Die?

3, the twist jump from TMWTGG sans swanee whistle
They put so much effort in to actually perform that for real and then ruined it with the swanee whistle! That alone says everything about the Moore era films! Still one of my favourite films though.
Like the braces on Jaws' totty you imagined it winkbiggrin

....except the clip you've linked to says "The Man With The Golden Gun barrel roll redone without Swanee whistle"
The original cinematic release had it, some subsequent DVD editions have it removed.

I put Casino Royale 1st as my favourite Bond film, I was stuck for what to put 2nd and 3rd because the rest are all pretty much the same level of average so I put LALD 2nd for Baron Samedi and Goldfinger 3rd for Gert Frobe.

Never Say Never Again, only made possible due to an ongoing dispute over the rights. Otherwise they'd have all gotten remade most likely. 😀

Ah right, yes I can see that now. Personally I keep the first four on the Sky box but after that I'm not so sure... Yes, Casino Royale was good.

I'd post a parrot but Bond shot it.

But, I also quite like Octopussy so that might say a lot about my taste in films!
Best baddie, best fight, one of the more realistic ones, gritty without being ridiculous. Great tension, cleverly written and executed, save for some silliness right at the end.

Yes. Jayne Seymour!

Does anyone like Diamonds Are Forever? I think it's a pile of crap.

Another favourite of mine though is the little loved The Living Daylights.

I agree that it's one of the weakest. However, it's the only film I saw at the cinema with my dad, so i still like it.
