Well I'd love to see my gorgeous little Frances on top (ooh, matron!) but I'm afraid it ain't gonna happen, she's been on the losing team too many times.

My prediction is either Jess, or the Oirish girl with the unpronounceable, and unspellable, name.

Would have been better if Courtney had been fired, as Trishna was the better candidate (apart from the orange gin). But that isn't how the rules work.

If the other team had lost I reckon Alana would have been for the chop for creating a raspberry-flavoured gin that didn't taste of raspberry (this sort of thing being her core competency), although Courtney's blue branding didn't help.

Tough pick to call the winner, they're all so bad. As someone else said further up, I don't think we've seen a group of finalists this bad before. Not one of them is capable of giving a presentation, not one of them can grab the mic or talk openly and naturally in front of a panel of three, yes THREE! people.
Grainne looks as though she might fit the part but also gives the impression she has no idea why the feck she is there half the time. She'd be my pick though.

Yes, cute but crazy. Life has a way of evening things out.

The winner will be the one with the best business idea that makes Lord Sugar the most money. We won't really know enough about those until the interviews next week. If we were really basing a winner on their performances then I'm not sure any of them deserve to have gotten this far.

Going to go for Courtney, and Alana as a last 2. Can't decide over that

I think Alana would have been safe even if their team had lost. Most people seemed to like the gin but just couldn't taste much raspberry, something that could be fixed given time (rather than a couple of hours). Better that than an overpowering taste. Ultimately the task was more about the branding and the pitch, and quite frankly Courtney fked that up. He knew all along it was raspberry, so why he didn't go with a pink or reddish colour is beyond me. I think the only reason he's still in it is so they can rip him a new one in the interviews.

Can't see Frances (A* in geography hehe) getting any further, and Granya/Grania??? just looks like startled rabbit caught in headlights whenever questioned.

Alana and Jessica for the final 2...

I find Jess too odd to be a winner.
She blabbs at the slightest confrontation or just acts a bit weird, pulling a funny or sarcastic face.
To me, she just doesn't come across as professional enough.

I have a feeling that Alana will interview very well and end up in the final two with Courtney. She'll then go on to win it.

Just my thoughts. I reckon she's been playing quite a clever game.

Alana seems to be the only one that talks much sense, trouble is up until now she's sat in the background a bit and not always spoken up or made her voice heard.

If his interview skills are anything like his presentation skills I can't see how Courtney will make it to the final 2, have we been watching the same programme? Not really sure how he's won so many tasks, I can't remember when he's made any significant contribution.

I think Courtney either will pull it out of the bag at the interview, or has a rock solid business plan that'll carry him through. I can see Jess just bumbling her way through and getting the sack, and Grainne not being able to handle the interviews and falling afoul. I do see Frances doing well and wouldn't be surprised if she got the second spot over Courtney.

Can't see him nailing the interview, but you're right about the business plan, it could well rescue him. I guess I could see Frances going through in the "you've lost loads of tasks but I'm going to take a gamble in my old age" scenario.

I have watched every episode in every series and I think these are the weakest final 5 by quite a long way. There isn't one of them who appears to have much business nous. And Courtney's presentation skills are extraordinarily bad.

I would think Alan Sugar's a bit worried about his £250k this year.

I dont care who wins it.

Can't believe they got £70k of "orders". I assume it's just theoretical, or are we going to see some giin on the shelves?
Its totally theoretical.
Said similar to my other half when we watched this - one team started the pitch with 'we are three friends who...' when there's a camera crew and Karen Brady sat in the corner. Can only assume the buyers get asked/paid to do it for publicity.

The interview episode always makes me laugh at how aggressive the interviewers are, especially when they ask why something random is on the candidate's CV, must be hard not to reply with 'to get on this TV show'.

I know it comes up every year but is now the time to mention Borden Tkachuk's interview with Stuart Baggs (RIP)

"I know what ISP is. It's an Internet Service Protocol. And that's what you're providing. It's not a telecoms operating licence. It's a protocol that allows telecoms over bandwidths."

"I've been running Alan Sugar's companies for the last 25 years, and that's why I know a little bit about technology."

I'd never seen that before.

No idea why he's not doing interviews these days.....
