Were the girls the most disastrous first week team ever ?

Totally terrible.

I cringed through the first 15 minutes listening to all the stupid sound bites too.

Why're the prizes for winning tasks so crap now?

Used to be decent.

Pretty sure the green £300 vases were Bohemian.

What was the thing sold for £175 that cost Sugar £7? Was it that large white "porcelain" thing with two figures? Dealer who bought it must have been dozy.
The £175 object was the large multi coloured porcelain vase/bowl type thing sold to a bloke in the market. The white statues sold for £80 to the dealer. I think that's right, couldn't really be bothered taking much notice what was happening.

That Glaswegian Natalie seems to be in a world of her own, and as the hyper one, I felt worn out just listening to her.

Who was the dark haired 'nervous' bird? I quite liked her wet look top, but I don't think she'll last. Previous series have always kept the eye candy on for a while, even if they are totally useless - I guess it makes for better viewing.... getmecoat

I turned it off half way through. It really has run it's course now. Boring and predictable.

I suppose nerves comes into it, however much of a high-flier they consider themselves. Michelle appeared on the follow-up show on BBC2, and came across much better - articulate, witty, prepared to have a laugh at herself. She made the mistake of volunteering to be project leader. Leading a bunch of deluded wannabees is suicide.

Apparently she's 35 - I reckon that plus another 5........

She has a somewhat colourful history. Courts, footballers, drug dealers etc etc.

I preferred Claude when he was a nasty bd, he's going soft in his old age.

Another load of contestant failures, they have really scraped the barrel with these girls.

Great viewing though.

I was under the impression that the women's team always loose in the first week, but I've just checked and it's clearly not the case.

Series 1 - Week one, women's team (First Forte) loose
Series 2 - Week one, women's team (Velocity) win
Series 3 - Week one, women's team (Stealth) loose (although they had a male PM)
Series 4 - Week one, women's team (Alpha) win
Series 5 - Week one, women's team (Ignite) loose
Series 6 - Week one, women's team (Apollo) win
Series 7 - Week one, women's team (Venture) win
Series 8 - Week one, women's team (Stirling) loose
Series 9 - Week one, women's team (Evolve) loose
Series 10 - Week one, women's team (Decadence) win
Series 11 - Week one, mixed teams
Series 12 - Week one, women's team (Nebula) loose

You have to be reasonably successful now to be considered. What you are playing for is for Sir Alan to invest in you so you can go further

Like most - want to hate it, can't. Hooked after 1st episode, its hilarious, even when we all now exactly what's happening.

They look so out of place fully suited and booted. You would think someone at a car boot sale in a suit was a bit special.
This is pure car crash TV and hilarious as a result.
Something I often wondered. If I were daft enough to be on said show - Imagine SirAlan puts you on a task involving sifting through an old lockup for junk to sell, or house clearances, or any other remotely physical task.

I'd like to turn up in rigger boots & dickies, pair of gloves, tape measure, 6" rule in back pocket and pencil behind ear.

In other words- the suitable clothing/tools for the job. Not he usual berks mincing about trying to keep their shiny blue suit clean while a factory worker shows them how to mix the ingredients to make their own bread in a cement mixer sized bowl, or whatever.

And continue to wear them to the office.

I'd love to see how they reacted to that.
