Any one else watching this?
Along the lines of a modern day Indiana Jones - it grates in places but i'm actually quite enjoying it
I wanted to watch this...I never really liked the Librarian...is it any good?Along the lines of a modern day Indiana Jones - it grates in places but i'm actually quite enjoying it
The fact it is on Sky One..and looks a tad 'villian of the week', made me not whazz it to the top of my list.
A blatant rip-off of Indiana Jones, Romancing the Stone, Da Vinci Code, etc. but enjoyable enough to continue watching.
From watching the behind-the-scenes programmes (on Sky OnDemand) all the historical artefacts involved are based on reality. (ie. the missing explorer in episode one existed in real life).

OK, that sounds good. From watching the behind-the-scenes programmes (on Sky OnDemand) all the historical artefacts involved are based on reality. (ie. the missing explorer in episode one existed in real life).
Enjoying it, some massive leaps of faith to get a whole story into 50 minutes of running time, but it's good if instantly forgettable entertainment.
Production values are superb (it's all filmed on location), no ropey effects, better than many movies that make it to the cinema in fact. It makes you realise how many movies reuse the same places to film stuff (i.e. Vancouver stands in for pretty much every city going in many Hollywood movies), as with this they're more than happy to show you real life places in detail.

It is a complete copy of Romancing the Stone / Indiana Jones and the acting is cheesy as hell

There's two things that have kept me watching it
This kept me mildly interested through episode 1 but hit the money shot when she fell in the river - decided that was going to be the peak of the series (pun intended) so my interest has dimmedEdited by Adam B on Friday 11th November 14:36
A bit of a thread bump.
I finally got around to watching the last episode in the series last night, quite enjoyed the whole series, nothing amazing, just a good easy show to watch. Didn't take itself too seriously, and interesting enough storyline, and Ophelia of course.
It appeared to be shot on location which added to the visuals, and the stunts were acted rather an cgi'd.
I'd certainly watch another series.
