I thought the first one was great, and really should have been an utter pile of ste! I think there is definitely potential for a spinoff film based around the Hotel for Assasins' . Great stuff!!!

yep really enjoyed the first one, probably because expectations were very low, and KR plays a moody character with minimal words which suited his limited acting skills

fear the sequel may do a Taken, which gradually got worse

Reading all the comments here, it looks like I will have to re-watch the first one - I thought it was terrible.
The thing is, Keanu's films as soooooo bad on occasions, they become utterly awesome.

Loved the first one, the Mrs loved the first one, we cannot wait for the next instalment.

Laurence Fishburne too! This just gets better and better!

Although not sure what they are going to do to get him riled up this time, surely they can't kill his dog again?

The trailer suggests someone puts a contract out on him? So obviously he gets mildly perturbed and expresses his disappointment.

Review are in, and looking good....

5/5 Fresh on RT
74% on Metacritic, 7/8 positive.

"Nitpicks aside, this is one stylish, gorgeous, well-acted, and creative action spectacular. "

Phew!

Random, but I noticed the guy who plays the "sommelier" is the same bloke who played Tex in I'm Alan Partridge - that annoying American-loving truck enthusiast who taped over The Spy Who Loved Me with America's Strongest Man.

Went to see tonight.

You see a lot more in this film of the world only really hinted at in the first, with its gold coins and strange knowledge and acceptance of what's happening... and I'd like to see more of it again!

I'd put this film two notches higher than the first, my only slightly negative comment being a couple of the big set pieces felt more like the "event" missions in Hitman than anything in the actual Hitman film did (!), which sorta took me out of the film a bit... other than that, just great, 2 hours flew by smile They really hammered home the pain on poor old Jonathan.

Hope to god they make #3 and we get more Mustang wink

Finally saw this today - the action scenes are fantastic, in fact, the whole thing was brilliantly shot for an action film.

If you like your action films, it's essential viewing. I did find they'd made him a bit "too" Superman - he's gunning down people left and right with an almost sixth-sense anticipation of where they're coming from, but otherwise, it's an action extravaganza. The fights between him and Common were very, very well choreographed.
