Negan is great, hes funny but nuts....

My problem is this.
He's not offering them a 'religion' to follow (Jim Jones etc) and neither is he a Gaddafi or Saddam figure where he makes rules takes all the good bits but shares that with a select few in his army who keep the peasants and dissenters down.
He can walk into a room and get everyone even his 'army' kneeling down.

It's not yet really fully explained why no one around him has took him out. Because the way its set up is that if someone killed him i.e. blond guy with burns, he would take the power over, so why not kill him? He nicked your fit wife, he doesn't treat you well...its does not stack up...
Now if he had a phoney religion he was working with then i could believe he could walk around freely with his back turned, but even Jim Jones had body guards...
For now its not making sense to me at least as he acts as one man in it for himself wear as Gaddafi was in it for himself but shared a bit with his army and side kicks so they would not feel the need to revolt.... Negan gives no one any benefit to his power other than "i can look after you", but he's not the only person offering a safe haven as we know....
Its just a TV programme i suppose, but felt he could of been a bit more Francis Underwood than he is, to rule you have to do more than have a baseball bat with a bit of barbed wire and a screw lose to use it.

Neegan is such a brilliant character though, I'm not sure I've seen a better villain!

I think there must be some degree of brainwashing going on, take a few weeks back, when they were trying to crack Daryl, he asked everyone what their name was, they all replied Neegan, apart from Daryl who remained defiant. wink

Negan is not who you think he is.

Ricks team sneak in and murder 20+ of Negan's people in their sleep and more outside. Negan kills 2 of Rick's team in retaliation.
Carl kills 2 of Negan's men and threatens him twice. Negan takes him home.

He's just a misunderstood guy hehe

Mmmm - I find the whole Neegan story tedious.

As I said to my wife last night, he needs to kill Darryl or Darryl kill him (by far my preference), it's just droning on and on, week after week otherwise...

Building up to a mid-season break? Well, it'll probably just be a "Neegan's killed someone, but who?" cliffhanger and they did that last series!

I read a book on my iPad for 2/3rds of last night's episode...

Absolutely brilliant episode. I could watch Negan all day. Superbly sadistic and brilliant. Love where this season is going.

Bit of a different episode that one. Negan actually had me laughing at times as well.

Where did Jesus go as well? Did he infiltrate the base from the top of the wagon? Seemed odd.

He's fun to watch and has nearly as much depth as Dick Dastardly

He got onto the top then in the van carrying Negan & Carl back to Alexandria.

Jesus proved the first time we saw him that he was quick and moved quickly and secretively. So I guess we will find out next week but he was with Carl and Negan's van

My skybox failed to record too last night, so watched it tonight.

I find Negan totally compelling, yes there have been loads of chances to take him out, but that just adds to the emotion for me.

Negen to take the baby as a hostage, Michonne to infiltrate the camp but being possibly one of a few black people (are zombies racist/kkk?) stands out and gets caught? Carol learns that the baby is now a hostage, starts knobbing the King and talks about him unleashing the tiger and war

Yeah he was there and then he wasn't there. So where did he go? That was my question. I'd imagine he's hanging around somewhere near the Saviours headquarters.

Negen finding Judy actually made me feel physically sick!! I don't expect him to kill her (that would cause a severe backlash I think...from viewers, not the characters) but it is the thought of what he could drag her into. She has been in a lot of danger in her short time but always surrounded by those who would die for her! (That and being a Mum probably added to that feeling!)

What a fantastic idea, a live version of Wacky Races, with JDM as Dick Dastardly...

Hmm but who else to cast...

I felt the same, with a Daughter about the same age my heart rate jump when he picked her up. If anythign happens to the Baby, I'm out.

Yes, I'm sure the fact I have a 2yr old daughter exacerbated my reaction! (my son is 6 he'd be looking after himself by now smile )

my only problem with it was the actor (not character) is clearly a dad, by the way he held her. There's a certain way experienced dad's hold a baby, and he had it, caring and protective, even if he was trying to play a badass smile

What makes you think that Negan isn't a Father or wasn't one previously? After all he has a ton of wives and protection must be running low.
