It's got to be the person with the boots... I think it's someone they recognise/know.
The only person I can think of who's MIA is the one I mentioned above, minor character Heath who disappeared when with Tara, maybe they took him. But how would that stop him from saying "thanks, but I really do need to get home now".

Who else have they known who isn't dead?

Maybe it's Bill Murray, he has form when it comes to avoiding Zombies.
Only other people I can think of is the granny-crew from the city. can't remember if anything happened to them.

The Rick and Michone scene was the usual stupidity on display. Why fight through walkers to get to the SUV when they could just have reversed their cars back to where it was clear?

Honestly, there is no way people so stupid could survive for so long.
You could pick the whole show to pieces if you really wanted to, it isn't supposed to be realistic. It's just a bit of fantasy.

If you really want to nit pick there are a while host of reasons why nobody, excpect for someone in a well protected bunker, would be alive right now.

Just to add, I really enjoyed this episode. Good to see Rick with his mojo back.

Their cars were tethered together. should one reverse back on it's own, it would arc round, also potentially taking out the other person if they had left their vehicle.
the situation was a fluid and fast moving one, they had just not foreseen that circumstance which is to be expected. They have both been mentally stained recently so not on top form.
Seemed an ok situation to be in. At least they weren't just one punching the zombies as happened around the governor storyline. Zombies still need to be dangerous.

Zombies amble, stroll at best. The only danger they present is if you manage to get yourself cornered. Otherwise a light jog or even a brisk walk will see you safe.

I'd say they stumble or stagger.

Anyway, finally watched it and thought it pretty good. I assumed rick smiled at the end as Gabriel had found another armed group. How, we can only guess.

One thing annoyed me. Do they really have only one person on guard at a time? Gabs managed to walk off, steal from stores and take a car without one person noticing or waking up. You'd think they'd all be light sleepers by this point.

I think Gabe has something up his sleeve. Either he has reunited with his old group or he befriended the guy from the boat with the boots. This could be the making of the Gabriel character, a priest that shows no mercy when he kills in the name of god. Like some sort of unstoppable terminator/priest hybrid killing machine.

What 'old group'? Gabriel barricaded himself in his church, and his 'old group' all got eaten, didn't they? All except the librarian who got stuck in the basement of that grocery store...

Seemed to be a look of recognition on Ricks face. Just speculating that maybe Gabriel has not been 100% truthful in his dealings with Rick, I like the character and the way it has developed from being perhaps disliked by all into Rick and others trusting him with Judith and a turn around in attitude to a bit of a badass. He's a good actor and I really liked him in The Wire as well.

Saying that, I'm liking the guy playing Negan's 2ic (the same guy from GTA apparently). He doesn't get enough screen time IMO.

My only other gripe is the latina bird with the nice tits all of a sudden being an explosives expert. Moast sane humans would leave alone (the explosives, not the very attractive young lady with the fetching scar).

Ahhh....you beat me to my edited post lol. Ex Army maybe, but she might have been anything from Catering to a blanket stacker. Good point though.

She is rather attractive, saw her on the following chat show in a tight black dress and hair all done up. Jesus!.

Not saying he's being typecast.....but I imagine his agent called him with the following, "Walking Dead, they're auditioning for Trevor Philips, you interested?".

For some reason it seemed to me as though the acting had become even more cheesy, particularly in the first scene at the hilltop, you could almost see the scripts in their hands as it was being delivered.

It's gone full post apocalyptic retard. Has Rick and Co stumbled onto the set of Mad Max 3? Where's Tina Turner?

The current series is having far too many "setting the scene" episodes. All the action and excitement was in the opening episodes, the rest of it so far is laying the foundations for the final episode with hardly any excitement.

That crew looked like a bunch of mutants. Was slightly disappointed that he person with the boots wasn't actually a significant character.
