Last night started a little oddly - like there was a bit missing from the previous Ep.

I think that the 'little bird' may well be Daryl (which would be a massive shock!)

It it not more likely to be Gregory? He know knows that he cannot survive in this world without strong people protecting him. We saw him looking at a map then asking one of his men to drive him somewhere (to Negans?).

Explosions, storming the oceanside camp, Dwight turning up in Alexandria, etc. wasn't significantly more interesting than the previous 5 or 6 episodes?

I'm not saying it's one of the best ever episodes but compared to the rest of this series I thought it was a big improvement.

Good News,

Word has it that next week’s Episode "will be the bloodiest in TWD history" and "won't end on a cliff-hanger" but is the start of a new phase of all-out war .

Yes - doubt we will have a decisive winner or looser for a few months yet!

Is there really any need for the sarcasm?

I enjoyed the episode more than others in this series, why is that an issue for you?

I was initially rendering my opinion, as is traditional, but then I decided a little high spirited jocularity would enrich my day. biggrin

Who's the bad guy?

Rick:
Manages to destroys Hershel's Farm and all but Maggie is now dead.
Destroys the community of Woodbury killing many innocents, all because of a situation he created by handcuffing Merle in episode 2 (?) then Merle kidnapping Glen and Maggie, in the process destroying....
The Prison community they set up as the Governor took revenge.
Arrives at Alexandria, proceeds to destroy/take over, maim & kill, wants to have sex with pretty married blonde so...
Rick executes pretty blondes husband who had just accidentally killed Deanna's husband with the sword, he would have shot him before as well.
Kills 30 of the Saviours (most while asleep)
Threatens Oceanside and takes away their guns (just like Negan did to Alexandria) for no reason except they had them.

Negan:
Provides protection for the communities for the cost of providing food and equipment (12 Cantaloupes from the Kingdom!! The occasional pig and car boot full) Depending on how good they are.
Saviours who step over the line are dealt with (Saviour who shot stupid boy Pike from the Kingdom in his leg)
Doesn't take so much that the settlements cannot feed themselves.
Took more from Alexandria but only as a non-death punishment for what they did to the outpost.
Retaliation for the 30+ Rick killed at the outpost Negan kills 2 of Ricks gang, would have been only 1 but Daryl went full Southern.
Killed Spencer because he wanted Negan to kill Rick (that's called a favour Rick, for saving your ass)
Rosita tried to kill Negan, so he kills the most useless of Ricks gang (that's called a favour Rick, for saving your food)
Negan executes the attempted rapist of Sasha.

This whole show is played from the viewpoint of the bad guy, Rick Grimes.

I forgot the Saviours execution of the men from Oceanside, we don't know the reason behind that only their side of the story. But seeing and hearing from the Oceanside women I wouldn't be surprised if the men faked their deaths to join the saviours just to get away from them hehe

Haha yeah really, it seems to be an entire island of post apocalypse feminists. Whew, and we all thought feminists couldnt get any more frightening lol

My opinion is the show sucks now. In my mind there has been a huge shift in the tone of the entire show since the last good really watchable episode which imo was the introduction of Negan and the bloody slaughtering of some of our beloved crew. Every episode after that seems to be entirely monotonous, and again imo the acting has also seemed to have declined in quality. Especially ridiculous and annoying was the way negans character was SO overly playing as the bad guy. The entire negan crew mentality is just over done i.e. one of the saviors killing the teenage boy from the kingdom because of ONE MELON being short. And how everyone bows to negan when in his presence... so dumb.

But yeah, thats my take on the show. If you really think about each episode as of lately, what is it that really happens? Truthfully not much at all. Its alot of slowness and i love the way walkers are of zero threat proven in times such as 2 people walking outside the gates between Alexandria and The Kingdom, conversating and Oh-So nonchalantly just stabbing oncoming walkers in the head, barely interrupting the flow of their conversation.

Let me tell you guys this, you want to get into a REALLY good series which is now on its last season, perfect for anyone just coming in to binge watch the previous 5 seasons, I HIGHLY suggest Bates Motel. I have not been this impressed with a series sincr discovering Game Of Thrones. And i have not come across one thread about Bates Motel here. Im shocked, really.
