What was the deal the Landfill people had with the Dark Side?

She was bartering for 12 and settled with 10.

People. Negan said something like 'people are real commodity now'.

Slaves, I think. The idea would have been to divvy up the human resources of Alexandria - Negan would probably have taken the rest back to Sanctuary to join the 'workforce' (serfs) there.

Makes you wonder if the Heapsters had prior contact with Negan (in which case they were already his vassals) or just decided to seek him out and cut a deal with him after Rick proposed joining forces to fight.

In any case, Rick's decision to align with them was stupid and poorly thought out. He had no idea who they really were, if they were reliable allies, if they could even fight properly and what their existing alliances were - yet on the basis of being captured by them and beating their armoured zombie in combat, he offered them guns in return for helping him fight Negan and then lets them into Alexandria for the showdown. Bonkers.

Just before the gunfight, Mrs Stig Of The Dump said something to Rick about the boat. Because she's about as intelligible as Brad Pitt in Snatch, I didn't hear what she said. Was it important, relevant, interesting or just arglebarg?

The should just end the programme there with Negen declaring war. Then do a 2 hour or 3 (2x1.5) hour tv movie to do a catch up and the outcome

I can get on board with everything that happened in the finale.

Except the the turn of the trash people. So blindingly obvious it would happen to everyone except our heroes, it was totally illogical to trust them in the first place in storyline terms, Rick trusts no one.

I kept expecting the double turn but it never happened.

Having given it some thought, that’s me done with religiously watching it now. I’ll give it an episode next season and if it appears to keep going the same way then that will be it for me.

What was the significance of the little figurine with the words "didn't know" written on it, found at the end of the show by Daryl?

I asked earlier who the figurine came from, and the answer was Dwight. It was his way of telling the Alexandrians that he didn't know that Negan knew what their plan was. Which means Dwight still wants to beat Negan, but it may also mean that Negan doesn't trust Dwight.

Left by Dwight. I guess to say that he didn't know about the double-cross by Slag of the Dump.

Luck? I guess a 14ft banner would've been less subtle and possibly given the game away.

I'd like to see less character development next season please. I don't want to know how such and such feels about loosing a dear friend or lover.

I want to know how they keep on top of sanitation, how are they storing their craps, where is their water treatment plants to quench the thirst of the hundreds, how are they fighting against cryptosporidium in the water, I dread to think what kind of microscopic parasites are now living in the water after a few zombies have walked through them....though that would probably be ste as well.

It's a Soap Opera. For documentaries you need the Discovery Channel.

HTH.
