Discussion
I don't get all the complaints about it being too violent. There's enough warnings about there being strong violence and horror, it's on after the watershed, if people are still dumb enough to let their children watch it that's their problem.
Besides, there's more gore, violence and more on Game of Thrones, and there's never been the same uproar about that (maybe except the Sansa rape scene)
Can't wait to see how the rest of the season unfolds.

Apart from the gore it was another slow episode and nothing that couldn't have been resolved at the end of the last season. I guess they needed the end of season cliffhanger to keep people interested in a show where the writers ran out plot/ideas of a long time ago.
I am guessing we are now due 4 or 5 episodes of back-story and filler before the season break, followed by a few more episodes build up and an end of season cliff hanger with Rick's guys attacking Negan.
I also think that Negan should have killed a lot more of Rick's group especially as Rick & Co had slaughtered a lot of Negan's guys during the last season.

At this point I find Negan probably the most likeable character in the show, either that or Simon. I actually like this new group more than the current group to be honest, from this small snippet. Will be interesting to see how they go forwards.
Can't blame Negan for wanting to club Rick's group either. Rick & Co tried to be the muscle/ white knights and paid the price
I have pinched this post from a comment made on a Walking Dead page (I think it is actually a Norman Reedus page)
"Glenns death was a long time coming. He was supposed to die thats how the comics are. He was supposed to be the one to die first by the bat but the guy that played Abraham didn't want to take away from the iconic death of glenn and asked to be killed first so people could react to glenn how they needed to"
If this is correct then I find that a selfless gesture from an actor.
It could be bullst of course!

How are they made to look like idiots?..
Because they all acted so ridiculously stupidly. In that situation anyone would have just shutup, agreed to whatever, not challenged, gone along with it. Anyone would have.
Then after your friend has been brutally murdered Daryl decides to jump up and punch the leader? wtf??
What fking moron tells someone that is choosing which one of your group to kill, that includes your son, that you are going to kill them.
Then after being told that this is your chance to kill me by Negan, Rick actually tries it straight away. really? but then doesn't try it when he is driving.
The writers may have been trying to make them look desperate and showing them getting broken, but it didn't do that. they just seemed like idiots.

I met Michael Cudlitz(Red) not all that long ago, a very likeable guy. He came across quite humble, not what I expected at all."Glenns death was a long time coming. Also as a complete surprise, Josh McDermitt (Eugene) is awesome. Really charismatic and funny guy. Chatted for a while about life on set, and it's definately changed my opinion of his character in TWD.
That is good to know, makes that comment more likely, which I like.
Funnily enough I have liked Eugene especially that his character has developed/ matured, he was just finding his own way to survive, not a good way obviously but the only way he knew he would. Much more a team player now and he is going to be devastated at losing Red.

You do realise that they are broadly following the story from comic books right? They have't/can't run out of ideas if the guy still writing the comic is plotting it out for them!

Quote of the century from him:After filming a scene (possibly the one where he admits that he's not a scientist), the director says to him "You make it look so effortless!", to which he replies
"That's because I make so little effort."

Daryl punched him cos Daryl is hot headed Daryl
I do admit he could've easily killed him whilst driving, but the saviours would murder them all there and then, plus, at this point, Rick is absolutely pissing his pants

Rick's group walks around
Rick's group settles down
Fill in some back story about a character no one gives a fk about
Rick's group meets some assholes with a boss asshole
Some assholes kill some of Rick's group
Fill in some back story about a character no one gives a fk about
Rick's group recover/survive/get revenge but lose their home
Repeat but make next boss asshole a bit harder
