my only problem with it was the actor (not character) is clearly a dad, by the way he held her. There's a certain way experienced dad's hold a baby, and he had it, caring and protective, even if he was trying to play a badass smile
What makes you think that Negan isn't a Father or wasn't one previously? After all he has a ton of wives and protection must be running low.
Fairly sure when you're top boy like Neegan you're running the pull out method as your form of contraception.

it's a good point, and if he stays in the show for much longer they will need to give him some sort of backstory where we could well find out he was pretty normal before.
And I reckon that could be a good twist, that a few of these women are pregnant

Neegan is such a brilliant character though, I'm not sure I've seen a better villain!
That is high praise indeed for a completely one dimensional character. I find him quite boring to watch. He talks a lot but he doesn't say anything.

Negen could be a PHer.

I've been with this since the start, but I've just about had enough of it now. It doesn't seem to be going anywhere and I don't see how they can end it really.

Every season is Rick's mob coming up against a new group of survivors with an insane leader, with the zombies almost by the way. Rick's crowd gains some and loses some others in the process of scragging the bad survivors. Drag that out for a season and then repeat.

I didn't notice it myself but when Megen took Daryl back to Alexandria he (Daryl) and Rick were communicating via most code. Daryl blinking and Rick by tapping his fingers together. Also there was a Morse code poster in shot during one of the scenes.

Isn't Jesus in the Saviour's fortress? I assumed it was him that gave Daryl the note with the key attached. The question is whether he will try to escape, or assume its another of Negan's games.

I'm one of those who thinks Negan is a very effective villain. Yes, he needs to gain a backstory at some point, but I feel uneasy all the time he's on screen. Ending the episode with him holding the baby was very uncomfortable. I'm hoping it turns out he was a father and is less of a psycho with children.

Intersting - I assumed it was the woman (Sherry?)... but it could be Dwight... but think it's more likely to be Sherry.

Of the stair dominating variety, perhaps?

I think this season is warming up.

JDM is very effective at creeping us out and no doubt we will all want to see him fall when the time comes.

There's much speculation as to who will die in this seasons break and who meets who and where (if you want to know just look at the comics), but I'm enjoying this more than the last season.

I think he's a good villain too, when he appears on screen doing the whole "The hell you think you're doing? Ah, I'm just kidding with you..." routine, it reminds me of a typical school bully. I wasn't reallybullied at school, but there was a guy who'd give me (and many others) a hard time if he cornered us. If you saw him coming you'd get out of the area, if he cornered you it was the whole "pressure you into getting a nearby small kid into a headlock, then when you do it he grabs you and starts berating you for putting the small kid in a headlock" routine.

Uncomfortable stuff, and I do hope they're going to give Negan some backstory and explanation as to why / how he's got to the top of the Saviours, otherwise its all going to be rather pointless. Mind you, I was chatting to someone who had read the comics, and if this series is going to follow that storyline, we're in for an interesting switch or turn of events regarding Negan.

Bit of a different episode that one. Negan actually had me laughing at times as well.

Where did Jesus go as well? Did he infiltrate the base from the top of the wagon? Seemed odd.
Jesus proved the first time we saw him that he was quick and moved quickly and secretively. So I guess we will find out next week but he was with Carl and Negan's van
Yeah he was there and then he wasn't there. So where did he go? That was my question. I'd imagine he's hanging around somewhere near the Saviours headquarters.
I'm assuming he's the one who stuck the key to Daryl's cupboard under the door for him, unless it was another test.

Is that the mid-season break now? I can't see a listing for next week.

So it looks like the old gang is back together and they're going rogue, better hope Negan doesn't get hold of them before they can regroup and raise an army!

Last nights was good, like the best TWD episodes my heart was racing through a lot of it and I was delighted by how it ended - the second half of the series should be awesome.
