my only problem with it was the actor (not character) is clearly a dad, by the way he held her. There's a certain way experienced dad's hold a baby, and he had it, caring and protective, even if he was trying to play a badass
What makes you think that Negan isn't a Father or wasn't one previously? After all he has a ton of wives and protection must be running low.GarryDK said:

I've been with this since the start, but I've just about had enough of it now. It doesn't seem to be going anywhere and I don't see how they can end it really.
Every season is Rick's mob coming up against a new group of survivors with an insane leader, with the zombies almost by the way. Rick's crowd gains some and loses some others in the process of scragging the bad survivors. Drag that out for a season and then repeat.

Isn't Jesus in the Saviour's fortress? I assumed it was him that gave Daryl the note with the key attached. The question is whether he will try to escape, or assume its another of Negan's games.
I'm one of those who thinks Negan is a very effective villain. Yes, he needs to gain a backstory at some point, but I feel uneasy all the time he's on screen. Ending the episode with him holding the baby was very uncomfortable. I'm hoping it turns out he was a father and is less of a psycho with children.

Intersting - I assumed it was the woman (Sherry?)... but it could be Dwight... but think it's more likely to be Sherry.I'm one of those who thinks Negan is a very effective villain. I think this season is warming up.
JDM is very effective at creeping us out and no doubt we will all want to see him fall when the time comes.
There's much speculation as to who will die in this seasons break and who meets who and where (if you want to know just look at the comics), but I'm enjoying this more than the last season.

I think he's a good villain too, when he appears on screen doing the whole "The hell you think you're doing? Ah, I'm just kidding with you..." routine, it reminds me of a typical school bully. I wasn't reallybullied at school, but there was a guy who'd give me (and many others) a hard time if he cornered us. If you saw him coming you'd get out of the area, if he cornered you it was the whole "pressure you into getting a nearby small kid into a headlock, then when you do it he grabs you and starts berating you for putting the small kid in a headlock" routine. Uncomfortable stuff, and I do hope they're going to give Negan some backstory and explanation as to why / how he's got to the top of the Saviours, otherwise its all going to be rather pointless. Mind you, I was chatting to someone who had read the comics, and if this series is going to follow that storyline, we're in for an interesting switch or turn of events regarding Negan.

Bit of a different episode that one. Negan actually had me laughing at times as well.
Where did Jesus go as well? Did he infiltrate the base from the top of the wagon? Seemed odd.
Jesus proved the first time we saw him that he was quick and moved quickly and secretively. So I guess we will find out next week but he was with Carl and Negan's vanWhere did Jesus go as well? Did he infiltrate the base from the top of the wagon? Seemed odd.
