Man, Negan needs to keep his leather on, he's stringier than my butchers sausages. Natural beanpole.
I seem to remember he was a fair size as the Comedian in the Watchmen.

Loved last nights episode, some of Negan's lines are fantastic, great character.

He lost 40lbs for Texas Rising to play the part of a tuberculosis sufferer - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3598496/ and not pigged out since.

Speculation is that it's either Alpha or Magna, who are both leaders of other groups in the comics.
too early for that group, far too early.

its a new charachter from a group made for tv apparantly, mentioned on talking dead, the makers are currently unofficially calling them the "garbage pail kids"
I thought they mentioned that we should recognise the boots or something along those lines...

Hmmm... I may have to watch the Talking Dead again!!

Yep, in such a small community there would be no 'incidental' or 'minor' characters.

The character looked slight of build so I'd guess it's someone from Oceanside.

Well, clearly that's what we're supposed to assume, but I didn't see that happen... And whilst it MAY have been to Rick that these were important enough people to 'break the camel's back', it certainly wasn't to me, who's followed the show from S1 E1, and as this is TV fiction, you need to convince the audience. All of us, not just the comic fans.

Sorry, but whilst I used to be a massive fan, and could forgive the series weeks of dullness for the odd moment of brilliance, this series has been dire, imo.

I think it's been a great series but, as I've said, I watch it for a bit of escapism, I'm not an armchair critic.

I think it was Rick's impotence as the surprisingly capable bloke got a kicking for accidentally leaving a note, followed by realising that there-but-for-the-grace-of-Negan his son AND daughter could have been pointlessly slaughtered.

Loving Negan's outrage at Lucille taking a bullet!!

Shows turned into joke, they need to stop making it.

Yeah, maybe it's me, but I just find Negan tiresome... How many times have we seen him do that act now? "You are soooo badass" is used so often he's getting to sound like Bruce Forsyth! "Didn't she nearly do well?!!" biggrin

The first episode was all shock and awe, but now I just find him tedious.

I agree, of course, that's escapism, but something interesting needs to happen for it to provide that and I've not seen anything that qualifies for weeks and nothing that happened this episode (except for the hopeful signs that they will DO something on the return!) renewed my faith in the series.

I guess the writers are hoping viewers are in for the long haul and a whole half-season of them just doing stuff for a nutter with a baseball bat will just prove justified as the setup for Daryl and Rick's undoubted wrath...

It better be! biggrin

You should tell that to the 10.5m cable viewers - it was the "runaway leader" in cable ratings.
Of course, it is down on the prior season but it is still absolutely massive in terms of ratings.

Indeed - But they certainly need to recapture the magic it had in the early days.

I'm not sure that's possible though, so maybe it is time to park it (or better still, go out in a blaze of glory in the next half-season).

I think the big failing is introducing too many new communities and characters.

I know some people love this, but half the time I'm not even sure who a chararcter is and when they get killed I just shrug.

Clearly killing Glen, especially, was a MASSIVE shocker (It's ok to mention that now without a spoiler alert, right?), but the two killed last night... No, sorry, I'm not going to miss them.

When it was the story of a hardcore of characters, their peril and sometimes death had an impact, with so many characters showing up now and then, you don't get interested in or concerned about them. It's like expecting the audience to be shocked when Ensign Neverseenyoubefore dies in Star Trek! biggrin The episode where they killed Tasha Yar was truly shocking, though...

Oh, sorry, does it say "The Walking Dead Series 7 - No Negative responses"? If you don't like my views, don't read them...

This isn't an adulation site, it's a discussion forum.

I really hope that TWD gets its act together, because I used to love it, but this season has been dull as ditchwater for me.

If you're enjoying yourself, why do you care what I think enough to respond?

I never suggested it did say no negative responses, however, it gets extremely tedious when week in week out, people watch a programme they do not enjoy so they can come on heee and complain.

Set up a new thread "why I hate Walking Dead" if you want, then those of us that want to discuss plots, etc can get on with it.

It's a bit tedious to read people moaning about a TV show over and over.
