All the preppers are all dead having rapidly come to the realisation that they're carefully thought out plan did jive with their COPD and 400lbs frame.

They did however go out with a full stomach.

They're about 2 1/2 years into the apocalypse in show-time, I think. Didn't notice that aircraft .... Hmmmmm.

so Carl was about 10 then, and he's now 12.5?

I wonder what happened to the 3 tubby randoms in the background - I don't remember them at all.

Maybe this will be the The Sopranos or the Wire and I'll go back to it years after it ended - but for the life of me I can't remember what happened to most of the original Caravan of survivors, Rick and Coral are the only survivors of that now I think, the rest are Farm onwards I think.

TV shows always face problems with child actors ageing at a rate that far outstrips their on-screen character. If they aren't a main cast member they usually get recast but Carl has been a major character from the start. They will just not mention dates and amount of time passed and most of the audience won't know or care.

It's been only 2-2 1/2 years in story-time for the entire TWD series so far (and that includes a several month time skip between Hershel's farm and the Prison).

I think they got munched when the walkers attacked (also killing Andrea's fit younger sister) although the one on the left, isn't she the one who chose to stay in the CDC when it blew up? The only others who escaped were the Morales family who didn't go with Rick to the CDC, instead deciding to go and look for family elsewhere. There fate is unknown.

Carol was in that group (with the abusive husband and her daughter, Judith, who died, of course), I think.

Morgan was in the first episode with his son, but only reappeared much, much later.

Of the ones that got some screen time/ dialogue/ names:

Andrea's sister Amy got bit at the original quarry camp and eventually turned, put down by Andrea.
Ed (Carol's husband, Sophia's father) got killed in the same attack (and finished before reanimation by Carol with a pickaxe to the head).
Jim got bit in the same attack, and was left to die by the roadside on the way to Atlanta.
Jacqui stayed in the CDC choosing to die when it exploded.
Sophia got killed sometime before Hershel's farm when she ran off into the woods.
Dale died on the farm from being ripped open by a walker.
Shane was shot by Rick on the farm.
T-Dog got eaten in the Prison.
Lori died giving birth, in the Prison.
Merle ended up killed in a battle with the Governor's crew when he turned on them.
Andrea died in Woodbury.
Glenn got Lucille-ed.

Daryl and Carol are still around, of course.

Agree with all of the above regarding last nights episode.

I'm not a fan of Mad Max post apocalyptic settings anyway - but it's only been 2 or 3 YEARS FFS!

Absolutely embarrassing writing.
It is Georgia. I'd imagine it's pretty much the same over there right now biggrin

This has been my favourite show for along time but last episode was a joke. What happened to Ricks trust no one attitude ?. Also noticed after the scuffle in the scrapyard (which the new group looked like they were going to get there ass kicked) the new group dropped there weapons and walked off. I think Rick will provide them with guns and supplies thinking he is getting an ally but they will not fight.

Could be right about getting betrayed by this new group once they have what they want (maybe this is the show's Alpha?)

I think we will see a reappearance of the group of girls though, they had loads of weapons in those containers.

We've seen 2 other aircraft, helicopter in episode 1 and again a helicopter in series 3 episode 3. There's no reason aircraft can't still be about or used.

Truth is it's only the USA that has been hit with the virus thingy and that plane is the communications aircraft relaying live pictures to the rest of the world. Welcome to.. The Grimes Show. Good morning, and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!
Now there's an ending.

I'd imagine that's where they're going to get the guns from.

It's not Georgia, it's Virginia. They left Georgia after the Slabtown storyline in Atlanta, looking for Noah's family community. They found it and it was overrun. I think it's when Tyrese got bitten. Anyway they stayed in Virginia and I'm pretty sure Alexandria is in Virginia.

As to the weird language thing, it made me think of a wierd cult sort of thing - the mannerisms and ways indoctrinated as a sort of communal behaviour thing. They stated they stay separate and don't interfere. So they have been isolated culturally for a long time, possibly from the beginning.
