Good films you have seen that nobody else has...

A prayer for the dying with the late great Bob Hoskins as a priest who witnesses a gangland hit carried out by Mickey Rourke who himself is being hunted by an IRA hit team. quite an old film but very good and worth looking out for.

Anyone remember Letter to Brezhnev?
Yes, but can't remember much about it.My picks on this topic :-
One Eyed Jacks; a Brando western.
Betty Blue.
Smithereens, great, but depressing. Opening sequence here >>>> https://youtu.be/R_a8NYgctIc
Great thread will be trying a few out
One of my faves, and quite topical right now, is Bulworth.
Some people have a weird issue where they cant focus beyond a white man rapping lyrics which is sad as this prevents them enjoying a very funny and cutting film.

angel heart with mickey rourke pre surgery and Robert de niro-superb film with lots of atmosphere
Absolutely! I was buying my lunch in the sandwich shop the other day as one of the women was peeling some eggs and we ended up talking about just this film.I nominate Stripes with Bill Murray, John Candy & Harold Ramis. Very funny film indeed & nowhere near as popular as it deserves to be. The passing out parade scene is the stuff of legend.

One notable film that made my ex-wife throw up when she seen it was Bad Taste, an Australian made film about aliens that are here to eat us

Utter ste.The funny bits are all shown in any trailers to it. Outside of that, it never got going IMO.
How it manages 6.5/10 is beyond me.

Yeah, I really like Stripes, Murray is great and it's one of Candy's best roles.Caddyshack is probably too big for this, but it reminded me of it. Another crazy late 70's early 80s comedy classic.

Dr Strange, today at Leicester Square. Because "I know people".
It was great. I don't know much about the Marvel series of films but I really enjoyed this. Worth a watch.
Sounds promising (and a nice night out!). I'm a top Dr Strange geek, so a little concerned about the film especially as Batman stole his origin story. Good to hear that it's not all bad!It was great. I don't know much about the Marvel series of films but I really enjoyed this. Worth a watch.
