How would you propose getting a locked car off a truck with the handbrake on and left in gear? They were winched on, not lifted on as the truck used didn't have a crane.
They should use appropriate trucks for the job-in-hand; either that or, the same method used but in reverse.

Those chaps trying to recover the trailer should have known to check the load to see how it had shifted, thus taking 'shiftage into consideration in the recovery of.
Dare I mention risk assessment, lift plans etc.

I'm sure they would have had 'tow protectors on and, hardhats not required as nothing up top to damage, it would seem. wink

Unloading the Asra with a forklift, surely that can't be right?
Could not believe that myself.
On a small car it might be close to the jacking points, but on anything longer it can't be right.

You make a good point, but perhaps they should have come back with a vehicle that has a crane.

I have never had it happen to me but would be pretty pissed if I thought they had just forked my car off the back of a truck.
And in this case it was only being towed so some over paid pansies could kick a bag of wind around a grass field. (only my opinion of football, other opinions are available but are wrong)

Watched this earlier.
Couldnt believe how they were removing the cars off the flatbed!

Makes you wonder how many people's cars get damages this way. Most people probably don't realise.

If they did maybe they would think twice about abusing parking rules. They are there for a reason after all.

I never will, it's a waste of public money, he could do something useful that would benefit society in some way.

He loved the traffic chaos he was causing
