Just back from seeing the midnight showing....

No spoilers obviously but this movie is fantastic! Utterly brilliant! Fun! Heart felt! Hilarious!

And the visuals are off the scale! It's just gorgeous to look at.

Sitting here trying to remain objective is really hard because thinking about what we just watched just puts a big ass smile on my face.

Ps Baby Groot is far cuter and more fking scene stealingly hilarious then he has any right to be.

Saw it tonight. And yes. Good 3D too.

Just so many nods and references to so many things. Will definitely need another viewing.

was great to the the original Guardians too, apparently there is a possibility of a film with them in and of course Stan Lee with the watchers (confirming he is one?), awesome!

Great film!

I believe in the credits the director has Lee down as "the watchers informant". Though I believe he is only playing to the fan rumour that he is one

Great film, great fun. A mite too long I felt and I thought all the heart, family, lovey, emotional stuff was a bit over played. But beyond that its a total riot and I loved how colourful, wacky and gaudy things are. Proper fifth element. Not the biggest fan of baby Groot mind, much prefer him as an adult.

Oh and the sound track wasn't as good, no real feel good energetic tracks like the last one. And they so should have had Jeff Bridges instead of Kurt Russel

Saw it last night and Civpilot sums it all up pretty well.

Fantastic, I loved it!

This cracked me up biggrin

When Starlord was handed the Zune and told 'This is what everybody on earth is using now'... just too funny hehe

Baby Groot is just too cute.

Plenty of emotional stuff, felt it worked for me.

Stunning visuals in IMAX!

Saw Vol 2 in an IMAX, the 3D was superb and I absolutely loved the film, Drax has some of the best lines and whilst maybe falling short of Vol 1 for originality, it was still massively entertaining, although maybe a tad too long.

Yes, had forgotten about the cameos!

Quite a shock as i'd seen nothing about them prior.

This definitely, was sat there think wtf how did they get them!

especially for the original guardians line up, I knew Stallone was in it but the rest where a huge surprise.

Also did anyone notice in the credits, in one of the circles was randomly Jeff Goldblums character from the Thor trailer

I saw Ben Browder in it (John Crichton in Farscape), double checked online and yes it's him.

The GOTG films are very Farscapey (in a good way) so this made me happy hehe

I was apprehensive as some reviews had been a bit off.

No need. This was fantastic, a real feel good family movie. The special effects were fantastic as well - pure visual candy.

12A. BBFC says "moderate fantasy action violence, sex references, bad language"

There are a few swear words, people get killed, jokes about turds and penises
