Good - bit long and a whole chunk in the middle with the "kind family that offer shelter and hot meal/motorbike" that could have been ditched.....but nice to see him being 15 rated (although PS swearing would have been more effective if it was taken down a notch - as opposed to making him a foul mouthed sailor for no obvious reason other than the rating allowed it)

And no after credit scene so dont waste your time like 90% of our screening did - sat through 10 mins of credits at 1am for nowt!

7.8/10

Really good, and good to have a superhero/comic film that isn't about cities being flattened. It's a road movie, and you don't need to know the whole history of X-men before going in.

I really liked Logan, it's not a fun movie, Logan's hurt, bitterness and rage is palpable. Although set in the future, there's almost a seventies feel to it, maybe because it's a road movie.

The young girl and Patrick Stewart are also exemplary, but this is Jackman's finest hour, possibly the best comic book film i've seen, 8.5/10.

Now people are watching it I can finally talk about it, two weeks after seeing it!!!

Come on then, who else cried? Not when Xavier died, that was very emotional but it was when Logan died and the girl said 'Daddy?' - I have a young daughter and that bit got me, thankfully I looked around the press screening and there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

I'm going to watch it again next week as I loved it so much.

Plot and sequel spoilers Ahead. The majority of Mutants Die out due to a virus developed by Transgien others were taken out when Xavier occidentally Sends out a mind blast due to his deteriorating health. As for were they go from here. The Canada references could refer to Alpha Flight a Canadian version of the X-Men. As for seeing the last of Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds would like to see Jackman in Deadpool and Stewart is Game. An then there is placing another actor in the role. After all Wolverine has been dead before.

That was very good. No flying invincibles and flattened cities; the main conceit aside this was real people with plausible motives. "Daddy!" got me. 9/10.

Odd...the line people are saying "got them" I felt a bit forced and spoilt the last 10 mins for me.

Well, genuine thanks for that. My kid has kinda custom to sit through the credits of comic films, but now I'm gonna buy the seats that are closest to the exit tomorrow afternoon.

yup, my first thought was eff me we've got sabretooth it got a little dusty for me at that point too.

This is probably the most 'human' of the superhero films and an excellent way to end HJ's Wolverine as a main character

Skinny legs?

Hardly-the guy is 6 foot three and has put a huge amount of time (and hGH) into getting a massive upperbody as it earns him millions. So his legs may look small but they are fairly Standard for a tall, lean person. And I'm pretty sure he could dead lift more than the average 48 year old!

Back on track-just seen the Deadpool 2 trailer....going to take more than Logan, that's for sure! Can't wait.

Loved it. Excellent.

Wife cried when Prof X copped it and teenage daughters - who've grown up with all the Marvel franchises starting with the X Men - were sobbing their eyes out at the end.

Saw it this evening and I'm not really getting all the love tbh. Don't get me wrong it was probably the best Wolverine movie so far but that's not really saying much considering how poor the others were.

Decent enough beginning and setup although I could have done with a bit more exposition about what the hell happened to all the other mutants. Yes I know it's hinted at that Charles probably had a seizure and took out a few but it's done with a few throw away lines and deserved a lot more screen time dedicated to it. The rest were apparently killed off by genetically modified corn syrup or something?? Neither scenario is properly explored. It's like they decided it was just going to be Logan and Charles left and then contrived to make it fit. The Old Man Logan comic actually has a better story for why they aren't around anymore

The middle flags quite badly, some of it works, the bits with the kids don't. The ending is pretty decent but entirely too telegraphed and predictable tbh.

Overall I'd give it a 7/10, a decent enough film but not as great as people on this thread and elsewhere are making out.

It's basically "Unforgiven" in new drag. It's a repeat, although very good. So nothing new, except for the Chrysler stretch thingy with awful chrome wheels smile I'd give it 8/10 for the mood, consistency and earthiness, if you allow. Also, Sir Patrick and that strange girl steal the show, the latter is even better than that in the 'let the right one in' - somehow combining creepiness and child ingenuity.

over a 400lb deadlift so very impressive!
great film sad to see end though but potential for sequel-annoying no deadpool 2 tease either

I'd agree with that, trailer was making it out to be an amazing film.

Also regarding extra scenes during the credits, Mediastinger is your friend smile
