Sorry forgot to say it was at Silverstone but it's given me the track driving bug.

Looks like a nice dry day is forecast for us too. I will bring some wets anyway, I don't trust these weather forecasters too much. Looking forward to a great days driving.

What a disappointment. On lap 3 of the 1st session of the day, I had a misfire. This engine has never suffered any issues since the rebuild, so it was concerning. Popped the plugs out to find 3 good and 1 covered in oil.

It's been 3 years and 30 track days on this engine since it was built by Race Developments. So I can't moan, it gets driven very hard. Not sure if its a piston ring or valve issues, but I wasn't going to risk any further unnecessary damage to the engine, so I loaded it up and took it home. That brings the track day season for this year to an end for me. Now to get it checked over and sorted for next year.

Gutted for you! I think I saw your evo in the queue for the noise test, it had poly windows etc? Looked an absolute weapon!

It was a great day, the new wheels/tyre setup on the m3 was unbelievable, I seriously could not believe the grip

I think I also saw the MG blow its engine though when I was out and I also saw some complete and utter tt in a gold diesel omega during the day who thought he was ken block and ended up getting the session red flagged and the he was finally black flagged towards the end of the day!

All in though a great day! Apart from I appear to have gone through a set of ebc yellow pads all round in only two track days at castle combe.. Sigh

Yep that would have been my MG that let go, rather annoying is it didn't give any indication that it was going to leave most of a piston and rod just after old paddock. Was gutted as had a really good morning, had just made some setup changes and was really getting into the flow after fitting my new brakes and coilovers. Oh well gives me something to do over the winter!

Any idea whether anyone was taking pictures? Think I saw a guy down at quarry.
