My wife and I really enjoy food and wine, we went to Croatia a couple of years ago and enjoyed some great restaurants and I have a sneaky feeling Italy could be even better for this or at least as good.

I enjoy photography and so I thought perhaps the Amalfi Coast might be a good starting point, but I'm pretty open to suggestions of anywhere in Italy.

Does anyone have any good ideas on things to-do, places to see, restaurants to try on the Amalfi Coast and anywhere else for that matter.

Cheers

In Amalfi I know "la Caravella" which is a very good restaurant. Along the coast I remember "Al Convento" in Cetara and the "Capo D'Orso" which plus the food and wines also has a spectacular view, it is near a lighthouse the overlooks the cape.
In Italy every area has its culinary excellences, you won't miss Croatia but consider that the prices in Italy are higher.
