Needed a cheap car (less than 1k)for my daily M11 commute so just bought myself a 2004 Volvo S40 diesel.

Have to say after 48 hours in its company I'm smitten with the lovely old thing, no knocks or creaks, average of 49 mpg, fast enough, lovely and comfortable, and feels like a friendly old worn pair of slippers. Love it! With a mileage of 113k, it's as tight as a drum.

A far cry from the VW Golf Plus I bought earlier in the year which has just died on me which I never warmed to at all.

I can now see the sense in shed buying. smile

nice congrats, how much for such thing?
however when someone says they have bought a shed I think they have bought a nice practical car(estate/hatch/suv) for peanuts, when I realize they have bought a saloon I feel sad deep down.

£1000.

Yes, it's a saloon I'm afraid. frown

For me though, it's one of the most practical cars I've ever owned. smile

Shedding rules.

Nearly all of my car have been 'sheds'.

My latest is a very clean 2002 Megane 1.4 Expression with 75k miles and MOT until May.....for £200.
