Jim Caviezel would be a good shout. He played a very Reacher-like character on Person Of interest until quite recently. He's 50 years old and 6' 2".

Lee Child had a cameo part in both films and I remember him defending Tom Cruise's casting at the time of the first one. Although that was a cert since Cruise also co-produced both films.

Tom Clancy used to bh about what Hollywood did to his stories all the time, much to their annoyance. Sometimes you've just got to take the money shut up when you sell the rights.
