isn't bake off a franchise / licence thingy like Strictly that the beeb can sell on?
x-factor has the same doesn't it?
'BBC worlwide' have the rights to sell on Bake off to international countries on behalf of love productions in return for a cut. Makes sense as will be cheaper for the latter to get the BBC to sell it as it has the right people connections and infrastructure already in place.x-factor has the same doesn't it?
Those Ibex, and mountain goats in general....surely claws would be better than hooves. Evolution fail!
The family were cheering on the baby Ibex but when he got away, I said "that's a shame, her cute fox cubs will starve to death now!"
Flamingos made me laugh.

Maybe I'm due a woosh parrot, but the fact the Ibex is around is proof enough of an evolution win!Edited by TwigtheWonderkid on Monday 14th November 14:01

Ha you really do say some 'odd' things.Edited by TwigtheWonderkid on Monday 14th November 14:01
It has hooves not claws, because if it had claws it wouldn't be a kind of goat. It cant evolve into another species. Goats have hooves. If they had claws, they wouldn't be goats.

Some birds can't fly...It has hooves not claws, because if it had claws it wouldn't be a kind of goat. It cant evolve into another species. Goats have hooves. If they had claws, they wouldn't be goats.
But goats have hooves. The Ibex is a goat. All goats have hooves. There are other animals that have claws, but they aren't goats!

Well if you think that the definition of a bird is an animal that can fly then you'd have a point....

That's a rubbish point. You rightly point out that a bird doesn't stop becoming a bird because it can't fly. A bird isn't defined by it's ability to fly. And a goat isn't defined by having hooves. Lizards have legs, apart from a slow worm that doesn't. It's still a lizard, despite having a differing propulsion method to other lizards. But goats have hooves. The Ibex is a goat. Mammals don't lay eggs. But the platypus and the echidna do. They are still mammals. There's no law prohibiting the discovery of a previously unknown species of goat, with claws.
Who made you the "definition of a goat" police?

Goats are members of a group of mammals termed 'ungulates'. To be part of the ungulate family of mammals you have to have hoofs, as it literally means 'hoofed animals'. Mammals don't lay eggs. But the platypus and the echidna do. They are still mammals. There's no law prohibiting the discovery of a previously unknown species of goat, with claws.

So if you find a 'goat' with claws, it isn't a goat as goats are ungulates and are defined as having hoofs.

So if you find a 'goat' with claws, it isn't a goat as goats are ungulates and are defined as having hoofs.
If they find a clawed goat, it will just be a subcategory of ungulate.
