How the f**k did they get the camera on an eagle?!
It's even more impressive when you think that they had to train that eagle to charge the battery pack up each night.

I found out how they filmed on the backs of eagles.

You're actually getting the same amount of content because they're filming in twice the resolution.

Not that impressed by the added sound effects compared to the first series, but was a lot less this episode than the last

Anyone else watching tonight's episode? I'm convinced the section near the beginning with the hummingbirds (?) had a bit of CGI, the visuals just seem too...perfect, to me at least. Is there CGI used or is it all real-life?

I think some segments may be filmed in zoos that have the animal as it's easier to film. No idea if that applies to hummingbirds though.

Yes, the Jaguar was blatant animatronics too

Only just saw E2, was actually surprised there wasn't more eagle POV stuff. Stunning cinematography again though. Anyway I presume it was these guys, for anyone interested:

Watched episode three last night. This is not only one of the best nature shows I've seen, it's one of the best TV shows.

It's just saturated with stunning imagery.

Does the show air with the "Diaries" segment? I watch it on iPlayer and that shows the "how" of the show. The Eagles pieces was very interesting! But each show seems to have months of work - not surprised there aren't many episodes.

Yesh diaries is included. Often my favourite bit.
